Movement Alp Tracks 84 Ski
Never ones to sit idle, Movement has shown some movement regarding their much heralded Alp Tracks ski lineup. Replacing the AT 85, the Alp Tracks 84 retains a precise feel, albeit with a burlier personality designed to offer more power and stability at the highest speeds. At the foundation of the ski is a light paulownia core with a prepreg carbon fiber laminate, creating predictable mannerisms that won't throw you off line. A bit heavier, the new version features more camber and increased stiffness, making them supremely fun when laying them over on edge. Race Edges are used to save weight, while cork inserts in the tip help absorb vibration, keeping your legs fresher for longer. For reliability on far-away summits, the mounting area has been reinforced with two plates, one made of fiberglass and the other of Titanal, which don't adversely affect the skis' flex. Powerful, precise, and resilient, the Alp Tracks 84 from Movement is designed for expert ski mountaineers looking to push their limits.
- Double Plate Reinforcement securely anchors your bindings to your skis.
- P-tex 4500 bases are happy to absorb wax, but can be skied waxless if desired.
- Cork tip spacer helps dampen unwanted vibrations, keeping your fillings in your teeth.
- Race Edges are easy on the legs and precise on the down.
- Pre-impregnated bi-axial carbon fiber has a lot of syllables and helps provide consistent skiing characteristics.
- Paulownia woodcore is the industry standard for touring skis.
- Tip notch lets you "rip from the tip" for extra style points on a ski date.
- Made in Switzerland.
