Movement Alp Tracks 98 Ski
Proudly labeling themselves as "The Freeski Company," Movement aims to promote "a free approach" to skiing, which is quite evident in the Alp Tracks 98. Compared to its venerable predecessor the Alp Tracks 100, the 98 features a longer tip and tail rocker, allowing it to maneuver easily through tighter terrain while promoting flotation in deeper snow. Unchanged is the ultralight (and secret) multiaxial carbon construction around a select paulownia core, ensuring you won't be weighed down on the biggest days. While the Alp Tracks 98 is impressively light relative to its competition, Movement didn't skimp on the mounting plate, which is reinforced with layers of fiberglass and titanal, helping keep your bindings attached to the ski and dampen the ride on rough descents. The premium P-Tex 4500 base material offers excellent durability and gliding performance, even if you occasionally "forget" to wax. With its modern freeride shape and athletic weight, the Movement Alp Tracks 98 is a versatile companion for big mountain adventures.
- Ultralight Carbon construction reduces weight while ensuring the ski performs well for engaging descents.
- Ultralight paulownia wood core has been selected for its lightweight, ensuring you aren't carrying excess weight on big days.
- Double Plate Reinforcement keeps your bindings securely attached to the ski and helps dampen the ride for the way down.
- P-Tex 4500 Speed Base is durable and glides quite well, even if you forget to wax.
- Race Edge helps keep the weight down while providing solid edge hold for technical days.
