Overall, they are pretty similar skis. They are both fairly easygoing yet deliver an impressive degree of performance. The TX99, largely due to dimensions and shape, will offer more float in soft snow. Additionally, they have a slightly longer turning radius, favoring longer turns and furthering stability at speed. Hi Rob!
You'll have to jump up to 120 mm. Crampons do not offer any flexibility regarding width accommodation. Excessive crampon width (within reason) is rarely the source of trouble. When ski crampons are needed, the overhang isn't likely to make travel any worse than it already is. Thanks!
