Raide LF 40L Pack
Being 15x stronger than steel and light enough to float on water, Dyneema is the perfect material for alpine adventures requiring high durability and weight savings. Built for extended day tours, hut trips, and anything in between, the Raide Research LF 40L pack harnesses the benefits of Dyneema to provide high functionality with minimal weight. With a removable aluminum frame, you'll be able to comfortably carry larger loads but have the option of removing the frame for ultralight missions. The separate safety compartment has been purposefully designed for quick access when needed while an individual probe pocket provides access without needing to remove the pack. The back panel is designed to encourage airflow while the zippered back panel access provides easy accessibility to needed items. While 40L is ample storage for many adventures, the rolltop closure allows the pack to be extended to 50L, making this perhaps the perfect companion for hut trips or other overnight adventures. Finally, the Ultra 400 TX Dyneema fabric is made to last and waterproof, ensuring both it and your pack's contents remain protected. From extended day tours in Colorado to hut trips in Montana, the LF 40L will do it all.

Questions & Reviews
I put the first gen pack through the wringer last season after getting it in January,Easily putting over a hundred days on it and i wouldn't have changed any of the features they did. But I guess Im just a ski bum not a product designer.
Time will tell about these so called improvements.
1. Regarding the additional zipper, it is true one was added, but one was also removed, so the weight gain is minimal. This design change was made so your avalanche tools are laid out more efficiently, keeping the weight closer to your center of mass and making them quickly accessible.
2. Please note the gear loop remains, but it was made a little smaller to make room for a second hip pocket.
3. The buckles have been replaced with a model more resilient to clogging up with snow.
Again, we appreciate the discussion and look forward to feedback from folks who have used and abused it!
