Salomon MTN 91 Carbon Ski
Built with the same design philosophy as the MTN 96, the MTN 91 from Salomon is a friendly and approachable ski. However, with slightly less rocker and a narrower profile than its bigger sibling, it is a bit more optimized for firmer snow and spring conditions while still being fun in powder. Differentiating itself from the competition, the MTN 91 has a friendly and damp flex pattern that offers support but isn't overbearing. This means it hits a huge sweet spot for a broad swath of skiers and remains predictable when navigating through precarious terrain. The full Karuba wood core keeps weight to a minimum while also being extremely renewable, helping reduce the skis' environmental footprint. Further reducing the skis' impact is the base that partially utilizes recycled content, helping save material from unnecessarily ending up in the landfill. For a fun and compliant ski that isn't overbearing, the Salomon MTN 91 fits the bill.
- Fun and compliant flex means skiers of all abilities can enjoy the ski without getting manhandled.
- Full Karuba wood core keeps weight down while lessening the skis' environmental footprint.
- Bases are partially made with recycled material, reducing the skis' carbon contribution.
- Narrower offering that complements the MTN 96 perfectly.

Questions & Reviews
The Salomon MTN 91 is a nice soft ski that excels in more moderate terrain. The Ski Trab Ortles 90 is a true mountaineering ski with the stiffness for confident edge hold in steeps and dampness for skiing fast when the going gets chunderous.
The MTN 91 is a great touring ski for beginners whereas the Ortles 90 is for advanced skiers tackling tough objectives.
Hope this helps!
