Questions & Reviews
These gloves allow enough articulation for fast transitions but are well insulated. More amazingly, they breathe better than any glove I’ve ever worn. Absolutely blew my mind this weekend when I finished a 2 hour race and my hands were still fairly warm and were not wet at all. The gloves were so dry that I continued to wear them after the race for a few hours outside no problem. It was 6 degrees and snowing hard with 4 separate boot packs and my hands were dry as a bone at the finish line.I was so stoked. . Totally crazy. Cold hands are a major issue for me in races. Fussing with over gloves and completely losing feeling and being unable to fold my skins is a thing of the past. I can’t endorse these gloves enough for anyone who has cold hand issues.
The first race I’ve ever done without changing gloves or using my over mittens. I’m over joyed. Thank you Skimo for suggesting these gloves.
This is certainly a warmer glove than the Ski Trab Gara Aero which features a thin nylon overglove built in. If you are referring to combining another glove with the Gara Overglove Plus, which is a thick insulating overglove, then that is a different story - the insulated overglove will add a lot of warmth. But overall, this is a fairly warm glove that breathes quite well!
