Straight from the skin tracks of Italy, the Crazy Idea Acceleration jacket not only looks good, but is way more functional than your average fleece. Sure, it's comfy and cozy like only a fleece can be on those cold days when your toes are going numb. But due to a stiffer face material that's coated with a durable water-repellent, it also holds up quite well as an outer layer when the weather is nice or even moody. The Acceleration hits the sweet spot between mid and outer layer, holding up well to the intermittent weather that tends to roll in unexpectedly in the alpine. This inside is a luxuriously soft, block-pattern fleece, making the jacket warm (but not too warm) and breathable (without being too lightweight). With three zippered external pockets-- one on the left breast and two on the hips-- you'll have all the storage space you need to keep the essentials close at hand. The flat internal seams feel comfortable and smooth, and the chest and sleeves are cut to leave you plenty of room to stretch and flex as you move. Crazy Idea is always pushing the boundaries in functional fashion, and the Acceleration Jacket is no exception.
- The full zipper has an internal double flap to keep cold air out, and your chin is protected by a zipper-garage so you don't accidentally freeze your lips.
- An external stiff face material has a DWR coating that repels water without trapping moisture in, keeping you dry from sweat as well as snow.
- The combination of warmth, weatherproofing, breathability, and compactness make this jacket ideal an awesome ski touring companion.
- Fashion trends straight from the Italian skin tracks keep you looking like the coolest cat on the mountain while being the warmest.

Questions & Reviews
The Accelaration Jacket has a little heavier "backing" on the inside than the Backslash pants do, but they would still be comparable pieces for temperature regulation on a day of touring. Hope this helps!
