Questions & Reviews
First, on the practical side, compared to other tights & suits I've owned from various brands, the size Euro Medium fit is pretty typical. Material is thin -- this is definitely racewear! Rear mesh pocket is very useful and relatively secure, although with only an elastic closure, wouldn't want to risk something like a car key. Integrated gaiter is very snug (i.e., only for race boots) with an impressively substantial scuff guard. ("Spikey like a dinosaur," exclaimed by 8 yr old niece at a school assembly -- more on that later.)
Second, on the stylin' side, this is so outrageously awesome! I've worn it twice to assemblies at my daughter's elementary school, and even though all the parents are used to my ski/bike/running clothing ("do you own any normal pants?" = actual quote!), this has been an absolute hoot. (One mother was even rubbing her hand on the tights, apparently to see what the fabric was really like -- I think...)
Touring in the backcountry, dragging and sawing deadfall (as pictured below), was hilarious to look down and think, oh good, I have thick protective pants on, then remember, oh, right. Training at the resort, slows down my pace since so many people stop to talk.
Also, although I don't know if these tights make you skin any faster, they definitely make you look skinnier -- when I looked in the mirror the first time, my waist seemed to have lost a few inches.
