Update 2025/26: This great boot got a new color way, but otherwise remains the same.
The Radical Pro is one of our highest volume boots.
The TLT X is a different style boot and is more similar to the Backland Carbon - it doesn't have a hard tongue. The TLT X uses a boa dial, so depending on your preferences, it can be either rather roomy or snug!

I'm aware they're different styles, curious though as to how the shell perimeter sits on the instep. I find myself needing to punch radicals for instep volume a little. The backland is a little overly snug as loosely done up as possible
I think the TLT X could be a good option then - the instep material (the little that exists) does not ride up as far as the Rad Pro upon direct comparison.
The boa system/style should be more accommodating than the Backland buckle.
How does dorsal instep clearance compare between the Dynafit TLT X Extra Wide, La Sportiva Skorpius CR II, and SCARPA F1 LT? Of the three boots, which boot has the greatest dorsal instep clearance (i.e., the tallest shell roof over the instep)?
Hi Gaston, we're hoping to get more in, yes! No solid ETA yet, unfortunately.

My daughter has a congenitally wide foot with the widest portion of her forefoot at 12 cm (really). Foot is 26.5 cm long. Any chance these boots can be modified to fit her?
With the 107mm last, it is doubtful that it can stretch that far. Not sure what direction to go from here...

Hi . Seriously considering these boots. Serious question: Will chicks dig me if I get these boots? Looking for a chick that will break trail for me and doesn't talk too much.
Robert, If you need a wide boot, that's fast and light, go for it. I think you will need more then this boot to get that BC Chick. And If you find a women who will break trail for you, you should be willing to overlook most any faults.
Hi John, not until next season, unfortunately. Check back this summer for a pre-order.

What do you think the widest ski that this boot could drive effectively? Do you think the voile hyper V8 (165cm, 107mm waist) would be an okay match with this boot?
Thanks! Love the site

Hi Pete, as a rule of thumb we generally recommend under ~100mm in waist width or less than ~1500g for boots like these. Though on the wider side, Hyper V8's are pretty light, so it would be a reasonable match. Plus, if you're planning on using the V8's on deeper days, the boots will perform even better in nice soft snow.
I've been interested in getting these and found a deal on the women's TLT X extra wide at 27.5 (thinking it was mainly different colors). However, with them in hand, they don't seem to be 107mm wide, the widest point in the forefoot is more like about 102-103mm by my measurements. Are the men's extra wide actually wider (and really 107mm as claimed)? Do you have measured dimensions? I thought the last width was based on 26.5, so if anything 27.5 should be slightly wider. (I know this is also weird because Dynafit doesn't even list womens extra wide as an option in the US, only in their euro site).

Hi Kristopher, the Men's and Women's Extra Wide models have the same 107mm listed last width, per the catalog. We don't have a great way of directly measuring the interior width of the boot, but I measure the external width of the Men's Extra Wide to be just about 6mm wider than the standard version size-for-size. We don't have a 27.5 in the store at the moment, but a 26.5 Extra Wide measures right around 111mm externally at the widest part of the last. Assuming ~2mm of shell thickness on each side, that seems ballpark correct for ~107mm.
Thank you so much for doing these measurements for me, you guys are the best! With my measurements I get about 110mm externally, and by putting drill bits of different lengths inside I still think the internal width is closer to 104-105mm, but I think it does check out to be the extra wide (even if 107mm might be a slight exaggeration). Anyway, thank you again for the measurements, appreciate it!
Vladimir, Most of the lightweight boots do not have flex numbers, nor do they accurately describe how they feel. But yes, it would be less then 120.

Planning to put in an order the the Dynafit extra wide. Hobbit feet. My foot measures 26.5cm exactly, but quite wide with bunions. Euro shoe size typically 42. In a resort alpine ski boot usually do go with the 26.5 for a performance fit. Do you recommend going with the 26.5 or go a size up to the 27/27.5? On backcountry days not as concerned about performance as are usually going to moderate terrain only. I currently use the Scott Cosmos 27.5 for which a had to add some foam behind the tongue to stabilize my foot. Not sure how Dynafits are in this respect. Thanks for your input. Angelo
Angelo, Tough question... Come to our store. Ideally you don't ever want to size up, you have issues like you have with your Cosmos. The Extra wide will be just a bit wider then the Cosmos, but a little bit lower volume. So you can punch the size 26.5 for additional width. Unless you feel you won't have enough length for comfortable hiking, stick to 26.5.

Hi, I have a USA size 7.5 EE Men’s, which usually equals a 25.5 mondo for length, and most standard lasts are too narrow across the ball of my foot but my heels are narrow. Would I be better off getting the extra wide last and adding shims to get a snug heel, or having a standard width punched out to get enough width across my forefoot?
In many cases, it is better to punch out a boot that fits well in certain places but is too tight in others, rather than getting a boot that fits too wide overall. With a narrow heel, this may not be your best fit. I would email us with details at help@skimo.co and we can suggest some models that may work and be easily modified!

I see that the 27 and 27.5 is the same length so is there a difference? Does the 27 have a thicker liner than the 27.5?
Hi Travis, these are the same boot! The liner is the same volume, but may be pre-molded to a different dummy foot size. After a heat mold they are exactly equivalent.

Can the front of the toe box be punched out around the big toe on the extra wide boots?
Yes, we will be able to do some work on the shell of these boots. However, like any lightweight touring boot, the material is thin and delicate and so we will be limited in how much we can punch them. Small, targeted adjustments will work fine.

Hello, is the mondo point sizing fairly consistent across other dynafit boots? For example, if a 29.5 hoji free fits me length-wise, should the 29.5 tlt x wide fit me length-wise?
Have you heard if the heel pocket will also be widened proportionately to the forefoot/last width?

Answer from

Hi Elliot, the fit is wider throughout the entire foot, so the heel pocket will be a bit roomier too.

Amazing. Can you measure exactly how wide this boot is in the forefoot!? I have EEEE feet, and have traditionally used atomic back lands to get width I need
7/12/2023
Answer from
Gabriel I
Hi Mfp, Dynafit lists the width across the forefoot at 107mm, which will vary a bit with mondo size. But it might be the widest touring boot ever made, certainly the widest we've ever carried! The TLT X lower can be punched wider as well.
