Crazy Idea Cervino Pant

Discontinued

Crazy Idea made the Cervino pant for ski mountaineers used to going race speed. The outside weave is smooth and flexible for friction-free movement. The inside contains a light fleece lining to add a little warmth. Stirrups and boot buckle cutouts keep the legs in place over two-buckle boots. Two side pockets fit your hands and plans. An elastic waist, stretchy Vuelta knit, and flatlock seams make it comfortable for all-day use. The Cervino is a great pant for anything from long, cold races to general mountain travel.

  • Supple fabric with flatlock seams does not resist your movements.
  • Elastic waistband has a drawstring for a secure hold.
  • Bonded pocket zips and reinforced knees will last for many turns.
  • Cuffs support TLT, PDG, Alien, and Syborg boot buckles.
  • Zippered fly is well concealed but works when you need it.

Update 2020/21: The Cervino was replaced by the Ultra.

Question from Brian

Will you be restocking medium/large this season?
12/31/2019
Answer from TSB

Hey Brian, unfortunately we won't be getting another shipment from Crazy Idea this season, our apologies! For the newest fresh-to-death offering from Crazy Idea, check out the Avenger, which is a little warmer than the Cervino but has similar breathability, stretch and form-fit.

Question from Brian Blair

I'm looking for something semi-fitted, lightly lined and with cuff cut outs that will work with PDG. These seem like a pretty good choice. I'm 5'10", 30 waist and 32 inseam, 145lbs.......medium I presume?

Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Brian, I think you've found a great option, medium should work for you!

Question from terry

Hey guys. Thinking bout picking up a pair of pants. I've got a 30" waist, 30" inseam. Size small or medium?

Answer from TSB

Hey Terry! I'd say up to a Medium for the Cervinos, they seem to have a smaller waist size than most Crazy Idea pants (which are slim-fitting to begin with).

Question from Glenn

Hi, I'm wondering if one of the sizes would fit my girl friend. She's 6', very long legs and 132 lbs.
Thanks,
Glenn

Answer from jbo

Hi Glenn, it's possible. The best bet would be a medium, which could have a decent waist fit and still make it over the upper buckles on the boots.

Question from Ron

I am wondering what size waist the large fits?

Answer from jbo

Hi Ron, Crazy Idea doesn't publish a max waist, but it's elastic with a drawstring so fairly accommodating. 32-36 is probably ideal.

Question from Jon

How does the Cervino compare to the Century? On paper they appear to be quite similar.

Thanks
12/10/2015
Answer from jbo

Hi Jon, there is some overlap. The Cervino is a essentially a lined race pant, slick and tighter fitting than the Century. Warmer than pure race pants though. The Century is more of a shell pant.
