DPS Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 Ski
Like us, DPS is located at the feet of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, where skiing the "greatest snow on Earth" has become a core pillar of their brand. When your backyard is capable of producing as much as 900 inches of snow in a season, you'd better have a proper powder ski, and the DPS Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 delivers. With a generous waist width and purposefully tuned flex, you'll be able to surf and enjoy the deepest days. A directional sidecut and a large amount of rocker allow for many turn shapes, whilst being supremely maneuverable, playful, and predictable.
The ski is kept light thanks to the full Paulownia wood core - the same that is used in the Pagoda Tour line - so you won't feel like you're hauling a mega-fat monstrosity up a mountain, even on repeat laps. Also taken from the Pagoda Tour line is the Carbon + Flax Laminate (CFL), which sandwiches the wood core and mounting reinforcement. The carbon in the CFL adds energy throughout the length of the ski, while the addition of flax adds a dampening effect, improving the ski's performance both at speed and on hardpack. Finish the ski off with Rockwell 48 steel edges, World Cup race bases, and an anti-stick topsheet, and you have another ski from DPS that presents some of the most cutting-edge techniques and materials used in ski manufacturing today. Whether you're sojourning to Japan to sample their plentiful powder and sushi, or got up early enough for first tracks down USA Bowl after a storm that interlodged Alta, the Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 from DPS is the ski that you'll want to bring - both up the mountain and back down.
- At 117mm underfoot, the Powderworks Lotus Tour 117 is an extra fat ski for extra deep days.
- Lightweight construction taken from the Pagoda Tour line helps you save energy for the n+1th lap of the day.
- Double CFL layers elevate the performance of the ski to the next level of dampness and speed stability.
- Super Sap Bio Resin has less impact than regular resins.
- Proudly manufactured in the USA at the base of the Wasatch Mountains.
- Preinstalled DPS Phantom Treatment improves the glide of unwaxxed bases for faster gliding and happier skiers.
