ATK V-Crest 10 LT Binding
With the V-Crest 10 LT, ATK has made an excellent entry-level binding that finds a compelling middle ground between price and performance. Like their other offerings, ATK includes the Elastic Response System, allowing the ski to flex naturally for consistent performance, both from the ski and binding. The Cam Release System allows for adjustable release values while lessening the force required to step into the heel piece, perfect for soft snow. Easing the pain of steep skin tracks are the two heel risers which are secured using magnets to keep them from flapping around when not in use. Differentiating the V-Crest 10 LT from its consonant-lacking cousin is the composite toe piece and the obvious lack of brakes. Being less expensive to produce than aerospace aluminum, the composite toe piece cuts down on cost while its shape prevents the buildup of snow under the toe wings, helping with reliability in deep snow. The ATK V-Crest 10 LT is a budget-friendly binding that sports many of the features found on higher-end offerings.

Questions & Reviews
I don't fully understand how the Release 10 retailed for $800 a few years ago and this improved binding is going for $379 but I don't hate it.
This binding does have the C-Raider toe piece; you are correct. Compared to the C-Raider, the main differences are the lack of brakes, and the heel piece. The heel piece of this binding comes from the new ATK Crest 10, whereas the heel piece of the C-Raider comes from the Raider line. There are some cosmetic differences, and the Raider heel piece does have slightly more lateral elasticity than the Crest heel. Functionally, it will only amount to an aesthetic difference for most skiers.
