Dynafit Ridge Boot - Women
While trickle-down economics may not be the most successful strategy for long-term economic success, trickle-down technology is. First introducing the venerable Hoji Lock system in their beefier offerings, Dynafit is now offering this game-changing technology in the women's Ridge boot. The benefit of this technology is twofold: First, it eliminates virtually any cuff play common in the touring boot category, resulting in better power transfer for more confident skiing. Second, this system makes transitions lightning quick since only a single lever needs to be flipped to put the boot into either ski or touring mode. For those who are a fan of confident skiing and quicker more seamless transitions, this is pretty neat. Unlike its more aggressive (stiffer) sister, the Ridge uses glass fibers in the cuff instead of carbon, resulting in a smoother, more progressive feel that lighter-weight skiers will appreciate. The Vibram sole will help provide confident traction in slippery conditions while the Twistfit Closure on top of the instep will allow for a tuned and comfortable fit. From 10K days to quick laps before work, the women's Ridge boot will gladly do it all.
- Hoji Lock system provides a confident skiing platform while making transitions a breeze.
- Twistfit Closure System allows the user to incrementally tension the top of the foot for a comfortable and dialed fit.
- Dynafiiter 5 liner is highly thermoformable and comfortable liner.
- Vibram sole provides confident traction for icy ridge walks.
- Floating Tongue provides an impressive and nearly frictionless 70° range of motion.

Questions & Reviews
You are spot on! The only difference is the materials, which impact the weight and stiffness. I would recommend the Ridge to someone who is looking for a more progressive flexing boot, and the Ridge Pro to someone looking for a stiffer skiing boot. They will both walk the same, and it really only comes down to how you like your boot to ski!
You can reach out to us through help@skimo.co if you have any other questions!
In other words, is it worth trying on the (men’s) Ridge Pro, with the plan of getting the Women’s Ridge when it comes in?
