K2 Precut Skins
The K2 precut skins are made by Pomoca, meaning they work great. Featuring a mohair/nylon blend, the skins offer excellent glide (once broken in) and grip you can depend on in any situation. Pomoca glue is one of our favorite adhesives for all conditions, temperatures, and temperaments. Can I just buy the K2 tip and tail connectors??

Hey Ross, we have some tip connectors from contour that should work for you. on the Contour Skin Parts page in the drop-down menu the Vario Z-Wire and Vario Frontclip will be the parts you're looking for. As far as tail clips go, we don't have the K2 attachment style but any normal tail clip will work just as well.

I'm looking for skins for my K2 Backup 82 skis. 181cm length. (124-82-105). These skis don't show up on your pull-down list above. I assume that means that you don't carry skins for these skis, right?

Hi Dan, you're correct that we don't carry those precut skins. Since that's an older ski I'm not sure if we'll be able to find any but if you want to email us at help@skimo.co we can look into whether or not there are any we can special order for you, and/or brainstorm a good alternative!

If you compare this skins whith pomoca climb 2.0 and pomoca climb pro s-glide. Whats the differenses?

Hey Eric, K2 actually teamed up with Pomoca to make these skins so they'll be really similar to the Pomoca Climb 2.0, which is a great skin! The difference between these or the 2.0 and the Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide is the actual s-glide treatment on those skins, which gives the climb pro s-glide a little more glide. The climb pro s-glide also has a different length of hair that seems to have a touch more grip as well.

Can these skins be re-glued?

Dylan, yes you can. You can re-glue any glued skin by either just touching up a trouble spot, or by cleaning off all the glue and regluing the complete skin.

I'm looking for a pair of precut K2 skins that will fit my K2 Sidestash skis. Size 174cm 139-108-127. Do you know if these skins fit this model correctly? Thx GW

Greg, We do not have the precut for the Sidestash. The Wayback 106 is very close- 136-106-124. You can use it and have about 1mm of base showing on each side. Or order a set of Pomoca Pro S Glide and trim yourself.

What advantage do these skis with the proprietary tip system have over traditional skin systems on these skis?

Eric. Just that you do not have to have a heavier clip system that fits over the tip. Makes for a quick simple alignment when putting them on.
