Sure, you make sure your beer cans and candy bar wrappers aren't left behind in the backcountry, but did you know your ski is causing pollution? Wax from skis and skins is scraped off by snow crystals and is left behind in the snow. It will eventually wind up in local watersheds as the snow melts. If you want to do your part to prevent hydrocarbon pollution, MountainFLOW All-temp Eco Wax is just what you're looking for. Made from plant-based waxes and oils, this wax is applied with standard hot-waxing techniques and requires the use of an iron and sharp scraper. Clean, easy, and effective, MountainFLOW All-Temp Eco Wax is perfect for skiers who like to go fast but don't want to pollute in order to maintain their gear.
- Plant-based alternative to traditional hydrocarbon- or fluorocarbon-based waxes.
- Versatile all-temperatures wax allows for solid performance from below-zero powder to sunny corn skiing.
- Application of Eco Wax utilizes lower iron temperatures (115-135F) than typical hydro/fluoro-wax, as well as a sharp scraper.
Questions & Reviews
The point about scraper sharpness is really true as MountainFLOW is a bit on the gummy side. I have a hand plane with an extremely sharp blade that I pretty much dedicate to sharpening plane edges. It puts a better edge on my scrapers than any motorized scraper sharpener I've ever used (and I've used some pretty exotic ones, like the $500 Trione)
