The point about scraper sharpness is really true as MountainFLOW is a bit on the gummy side. I have a hand plane with an extremely sharp blade that I pretty much dedicate to sharpening plane edges. It puts a better edge on my scrapers than any motorized scraper sharpener I've ever used (and I've used some pretty exotic ones, like the $500 Trione)
