I have the ones that go from clear to dark. Over thousands of miles these have been my close companion. I got them for touring but use them for running and cycling as well. Great for pre-dawn starts and for comfort. I wish they were polarised as they don’t bring out the contrast in flat light too well. One day I brought out my chromapop lensed goggles and i was struck by the difference. The convenience keeps them on my face more often then not. Might try the ones that don’t go completely clear next time as ...
These are perfect for glacier rescue. Small tidy and always at hand. The multiple colors are great for sorting your gear. Sometimes their size makes it difficult to rack up all my gear, but the lack of mass makes it worth it.
Super light and durable enough for my purposes. I use these for climbing the PNW volcanos as a part of my glacier rescue kit. They are light and tidy. Lock into the loops of the Petzl Altitude harness nicely too. Keeps the clinking and clanking to a minimum when moving quick.
Speedy but everything you need to protect you from what some may consider a terrible way go. The micro traxion is a marvel. Under stress you want your glacier kit to be simple and efficient, doesn’t get much simpler than that. Also it works with the rad line.
This will save your day. Or in my case my friends. As they never seem to take care of their skins. Just buy one and stuff it in your pack. There will be a day when you, or your friend, will be very happy it’s there!
