As its name suggests, the Tour Pro is purpose-built for guides and serious backcountry users. Compared to the other skins in the Pomoca stable, the Tour Pro has the longest plush length, providing the best grip out of the lineup. To reduce friction while skinning, the Tour Pro features a permanent glide treatment that gives it exceptional gliding mannerisms, allowing you to move with efficiency on a big day out. This glide treatment also helps to resist the dreaded snow glop of Spring. Utilizing a 65-35% mohair-nylon blend, the Tour Pro is built to stand up to regular use while the Safer Skin Light (SSL) membrane prevents the glue from being contaminated with moisture, providing reliable adhesion even in wet Spring conditions. As Pomoca themselves attest, the Tour Pro has the best glide, best anti-glopping properties, and the best durability out of any mohair-nylon skin they produce. If you find yourself in the backcountry often, the Tour Pro is an excellent skin to bring home.

  • Tail hook has been engineered for durability in harsh climates, assuaging concerns from years past.
  • Universal buckle system works with a variety of Dynafit and Pomoca tip hardware.
  • SSL membrane helps to protect the glue from moisture, providing reliable adhesion across a wide array of conditions.
  • Glide treatment helps prevent skin glopping and provides exceptional gliding characteristics.
  • Long plush length gives this skin exceptional grip in slippery conditions.
  • Ever Dry 3.0 treatment is PFC-free and helps the plush say NO to H2O.
  • Universal Length Option - 185cm of material with tails attached; cut to ski length, attach the tip buckles, and trim.

***With the new Pomoca metal power hook, we recommend sizing up in length if the ski is close to the max length.

Looking to get these for the Elan ripstick tour 104 in the 187 length 129-104-122.
Assuming the 120mm are the correct option but hoping to confirm.

Hi Shawn,

Yes, I'd go with the 120mm skin for that ski!

Question from Rich S.

want to get these for a pair of Armada Locator 112. Length: 187cm. Dimensions: 137 / 112 / 128mm.

What is better?
- 120mm width, 175-190 length
- 120mm width, 185-200 length
- 140mm width, 175-190 length
- 140mm width, 185-200 length

I am leaning to the 120mm as I don't mind a little bit of base showing (8.5mm on each side at the tip, probably less with edge exposed). I'm just not sure about the length. Is it better to be at the top of the size range (187 vs. 190) or the bottom (187 vs. 185), or does it not matter as long as you're in the range?

Hi Rich, you do have plenty of options. I err like you on the side of less skin, both in width and length. They pack up better that way and I don't miss the grip. Only argument for longer is if you want a lot of extra strap to grab when doing a skis-on tail-rip to de-skin.

Question from Zachary H

What size would work better for 184cm x 143-120-134 skis: 120 x 175-190 or 140 x 175-190?

Answer from Will McD

Hi Zachary,

Most people would prefer the 140, to get more coverage. With the 120mm width, you will have a good amount of exposed base. But in powder, for an experienced skier, you could do it (and some do, for better glide).
