With a simple and durable nylon-mohair mix construction, the Tour Explore skin from Pomoca has the reliability needed to tackle mid-winter powder stashes and big objectives alike. By combining mohair and nylon in a 65-35% split respectively, the Explore skins have sufficient glide without sacrificing durability. Additionally, the plush has been optimized for grip, providing confidence on even the slipperiest skin tracks. The Universal Buckle system pairs seamlessly with a wide assortment of Pomoca and Dynafit tips while the metal, Grilamid, and TPU construction of the tailhook ensures its continued performance in even the coldest conditions. The Safer Skin Light (SSL) membrane prevents moisture from contaminating the glue and allows for reliable adhesion in all conditions. Finally, the Tour Explore has been treated with Pomoca's Ever Dry 3.0 hydrophobic treatment, helping reduce skin glop and keeping the plush from absorbing moisture. For a no-frills climbing skin that is built to perform, bring along the Pomoca Tour Explore.
Ever Dry 3.0 hydrophobic treatment keeps your skin from acting like a sponge and is PFC-free.
65-35% mohair nylon construction is durable and optimized to provide grip for confident skinning in icy conditions.
SSL membrane protects the glue from moisture to provide reliability across a wide array of conditions.
Universal buckle system accommodates Dynafit and Pomoca tip hardware, allowing you to customize the skin for your needs.
Power hook on the tail has been engineered for durability, reducing the chance of breakage in cold conditions.
***With the new Pomoca metal power hook, we recommend sizing up in length if the ski is close to the max length.
Hi Geraldine, I would recommend the 120mm x 155-170cm. You could go with that size, but you won't have good grip on any sort of firm sidehill, and you'd be right at the end of the tail strap, which is OK but you wouldn't have much to grab onto to take them off.

I have Nordica Enforcer 94 in 179cm length. The tail is somewhat rounded with no notch. Will these tail clips work?
John- The 120mm wide skin would be perfect since we suggest buying skins based off tail width. But you will want the 155-170cm skin for a 163cm ski.

Hi - I am interested in purchasing skins for my zag slap 98 (season 23-24) (173 length) ski but am not sure what size/dimensions I should purchase and whether the pomoca climb 2.0 or the pomoca tour explore skin is the better choice?
Elana- We suggest buying skins based off tail width and then trimming to width. In this case the 120mm x 165-180cm is the best size for your skis. The skin material between the Climb 2.0 and the Tour Explore is the same. The updated tips and tail hooks are the only difference between the skins.

Hello I have a question. I have the Skis Dynastar M-Pro 100 Ti OPEN length 178. I am not sure which size to take. 120 l 175-190? The widest part is 133. Could you help me with this? Thanks
Hi David, that's the size I would go with. Ideally you want the whole width of the tail (minus the edges) covered, so the 120mm will be perfect.

I have Black Diamond Helio Carbon 95s in 176cm length. I was going to get the 100mm wide skin but not sure on length. Would you suggest the 165-180 or the 175-190? The tape measure says they are 177 from tip to tail where the skins would be.
Michael, with the new metal tail clip, you will be better off with the longer 175-190cm. That clip uses up about 3cm of the tail when clipped to the ski.

I can’t believe there isn’t a review on these! Love these skins! These were the first skins I ever purchased. Here’s what they are, they are reasonably light and packable, they have great glide and grip and are incredibly durable! The feel easy to walk on but don’t require the gliding skill that I feel a higher level skin like the Pomoca Pro S Glide does. It is reasonably efficient. The grip is perfect! Nasty slippery spring crust, deep powder trail breaking, easy skinning, perfect skinners, it handles it all with aplomb! Doesn’t take up to much room in the pack easily stuffing down into a small child heads sized little ball (excuse the wierd comparison but hopefully that helps) The thing that impressed me most was rhe durability. I did a significant amount of very rocky and dry skinning (frankly I should have taken my skis off but I’m too lazy for that) and they escaped unscathed minus a few shallow gouges. Final notes: don’t be scared to trim them at home yourself! They are designed to be done at home and come with a perfect little tool for the job! It’s very easy! Also one random funny side note: they have a very distinct smell that I find quite delightful! Check out my new cologne inspired by the delightful smell of these skins at www.pomskinclmbcologne.com!

First of all let it be clear that I am not a skimo co employee and they may want to correct me on this. They know way more and are an awesome shop and I would highly recommend stopping in and asking them. To answer your question yes that is totally fine, the measurements of the skin only really matter for the waist of the ski and the length. Once you get up towards the end of the ski the skin does not need to cover the entire ski which saves a bit of weight (Hoji 4 lock system is a great example of this) hope this helps!

Thank you and yes, I apologize, I totally made the mistake of posting my question as a comment to yours. Anyway, thanks for your response, this was also confirmed by a skimo team member.
