Looking at these and fr 15 evo for my new canvas 118 188. Im 6'0 195, intend to ski these for general pow touring and occasional slack country and resort pow laps. I've got the fr 15 on my zero g 105 and love it. Zgtp boots

How do you improve on the "flagbearer" of the lightweight binding category? You make it Skimo blue and offer a higher release value, of course! Hey Dave,
If you plan to ski these in the resort, the Freerider 15 Evo may be the better option. That being said, if you want a lighter binding, then this is a great option! A lot of us ski tech bindings in the resort, and they have never failed us, especially in powder. However, the Freeraider's added elasticity will be better suited for the resort when the snow gets chopped up.

What's the max skier weight? The Haute Route 10 is listed at 85kg.

Hi Mark, ATK hasn't published a max recommended weight for the 12. It's just a stiffer spring so I wouldn't think the weight guideline would change.

So the toe piece springs have been upgraded?

No adjustments have been made to the toe piece internals from the HR10+, according to ATK. In fact, the same internal components are used in the Freeraider 14 SL, so ATK must be confident in the toe retention for higher release values.
