Question from Alexandr Z

Hello,

Can you please tell me the difference between Tecton13 and Tecton13 23/24 heel pieces,

Thanks

Answer from Emmett I

Hi Alexandr, they are very similar! The newer heels have a little bit more metal in certain spots to help with wear and tear. That and the color are the only differences.

Question from John

I have a Fritchi binding. The toe.piece indicates it's a Tecton model. Purchased in 2021 or 2022, the heel release lever is broken and I need a replacement. Can you confirm the correct model so I can purchase the right heel?
Thanks!

Answer from Carlos M

Hi John,

You likely have a Tecton 12. We only have heel pieces available for the Tecton 13, which is the more recent model. You could replace it with one of those, noting that the springs will be different and it may not release at exactly the same values. Getting a release test will help you dial in the settings.
