I was previously an advanced skier looking to acquire a first backcountry setup as I get back into skiing after years of snowboarding in resort and sidecountry. Would you recommend the Blizzard Zero G 85, 171cm for someone who's 5'8" @ 160-165? I ski a mondo 26.5 boot.
Would it be possible to send me some pictures of the setup and its current condition?
Demo Skis
From time to time we sell used demo skis, previously mounted new skis (from canceled orders, e.g.), and new sample skis that we obtained as part of our worldwide search for quality lightweight ski gear. We offer great deals, typically selling at or below our cost. We got to see them, you get to ski them. Win, win!
All demo skis come with a limited 90-day warranty covering manufacturer defects, but not rock damage or other abuse. If you find the bindings won't adjust to your boots and/or you can't work around existing drill holes, the skis can be returned unused within 10 days.
Armada Locator 88, 172cm - New and never-skied, drilled for an ATK Crest/Kuluar for a 298mm BSL, with one extra hole drilled outside the mount pattern.
Aski Nevaio, 166cm - This ski is a couple of seasons old, but is new and undrilled. At 93mm underfoot, the Aski Nevaio is a fast-skiing big mountain bruiser.
Aski Nevaio, 175cm - The ski is mounted with an ATK Rent Me 10 binding, featuring toe and heel adjustments, and has been mounted once before. The ski was recently tuned and has been skied a few seasons and has cosmetic scratches.
Blizzard Zero G 85W, 171cm - New pair of Zero G women's skis with Carbon Drive 3.0. Decided not to carry them since they are no different than the men's.
Dynafit Low Tech 88, 172cm - Brand new, undrilled skis. One ski had a minor ptex scrape in the base from shipping that has been repaired.
Fischer Hannibal 106, 185cm - New in packaging. One of the skis has minor dings near the ski tail.
K2 Wayback 88, 167cm - Mounted once with an ATK Raider 11 for a 296mm BSL. Unmounted and never skied.
Kastle TX 65, 160cm - Kastle's race ski. Brand new, in plastic, with a new ski smell. Get them while they last.
Majesty Superpatrol Carbon, 161cm - New ski never skied or mounted. Some cosmetic damage to the top sheet.
Movement Alp Tracks 90, 170cm - New ski, drilled for Ski Trab Gara Titan with a 302mm BSL.
Movement Alp Tracks 98, 178cm - New ski drilled once for Ski Trab Titan Vario 2, holes offset by one centimeter, drilled for a 322 mm BSL.
Movement Alp Tracks 98, 178cm, Used Once - Freshly tuned, a few minor scratches on the topsheet. Drilled once for an ATK Raider 10 SL, 297mm BSL.
Movement Alp Tracks 98, 178cm / with Skins - Skied one day has been drilled for a Dynafit rotation 10 and a 300mm BSL. Comes with a Contour Mohair skin trimmed to ski width.
Rossignol Escaper W 87, 174cm - Brand new in plastic ski.

Ski Trab Ortles Pro, 171cm - Brand new ski mounted with Trab Vario LT 7-9 bindings on a wide adjustment plate with brakes. Centered on 297 BSL. Some scuffing on bases and the 2026/27 topsheet due to smuggling from Italy.
Voile Objective, 164cm - New ski drilled for Dynafit Speed Radical/Speed Turn, centered for 297mm BSL.
Mounted rental skis are set up with a size 27 boot (25 for women's skis) unless otherwise noted. Please inquire about fitting a particular boot; we can likely test it for you.

I’m 6’2” 185, aggressive skier type. Would the Blizzard Zero G 105, 180cm be a good AT set up for me? Or too short? Picked up some scarpa F1 size 30’s last week. Does it come with the alpinist 12 binding + skins, or just skins?

Thanks for reaching out, Mike. These could work, however, they would be on the short side. If you're an aggressive skier, you'd be better served with the next size up (188). It does come with the Alpinist 12 and skins.

For the Voile Hyper V8 176cm. Could I mount a Marker Alpinist 12 to an Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 120 24.5(297bsl)? Or would I run into issues?

Thanks for your question, Luke. If you were to use the same binding/adjustment plate, it appears it would work with a 26.0 shell (though it would be on the very edge of the adjustment track). The ski could be fixed-mounted with the Gara Titan for the PDG 2. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Re the Voile Hypervector BC's pre-drilled for Plum Guide 283 BSL: is it possible to mount Quiverkillers for a Hagan Pure 8 with range to handle a Sportiva Syborg 27.0 287BSL and Scarpa F1 LT 26.5 294BSL on this ski? It's conceivable next year's Dynafit DNA 27.0 could be in the mix (yikes - men and their ski boots!) but I haven't found a BSL for that. I wonder if the Hagan toe pattern is the same and the heel pattern is long enough to be adequately spaced from the Plum heel pattern for these BSL's.

Robin, Your Pure 8 bindings have a BSL adjustment of 20mm, so all those boots can fit in there just fine. The two bindings do have the same toe mounting pattern and the current mount is close enough so you would not be too far off boot center.
Voile does not recommend Quiver killers in their skis, which will void the warranty.
The holes have only been drilled, not screwed in. You should be able to adjust the track, since you have only a 7mm range, to mount with sufficient distance from the existing holes.

Am I reading correctly that the Maximos come mounted with the Vario binding? Is the binding new as well?
How does that look with either Atomic Backland Carbon 288 BSL or the la sportiva Skorpius 287 BSL?

Hi Patrick, I cleaned up the wording, it does not have bindings on it. You would need a binding with a different hole pattern, or adjustment plates, to use that boot.

Hey Dima, both the Maestro and Magico have seen light use, with some minor superficial blemishes but nothing requiring repair. The bases are in great shape with the original grind still intact (the famous Trab herringbone grind). Trab is known for their industry-leading durability and unbreakable ski construction, so the Maestro/Magico are more or less good as new with an extra set of mounting holes :-)
As for skins, the plush has very little wear so I'd guess 10-15 days of use totalling perhaps 30hrs or less. Just enough to break them in perfectly for new user! :-)

I’m interested in the Blizzard Zero G 85 W 171 setup but I’m curious about how the bindings are drilled. I have a 301 BSL and figured with the 30 mm adjustment in the Raiders I’d be able to fit my boot, but would it be close to the recommended line?

Ben, I checked, it would be about 1cm short. Looks like a size 26 boot or smaller. They can be remounted, they have only been drilled once.

I'm pretty settled on a ski with an underfoot width of 95 - 105 and have been looking at the set of Blizzard 95 G's in your demo sale. I have a set of helio 10's as a binding and was curious on your thoughts for this set up.
Will the pre-drilled holes, if filled, be ok for a remount? Is it too much ski for the binding? I'm trying to play a little hurry up offense on this new set up with a looming yurt trip and corn season in Idaho.

Are the plum 150s on the Backland 95s adjustable to fit a 28.5 Atomic Backland boot? Also, how did you like that ski?

Hey Nat. The bad news is that the 150 is not adjustable at all, so it won't accommodate any boots that are a different bsl than what it was mounted for. The good news is that the hole pattern is so narrow and so short that almost any binding will overshoot the existing holes by a good margin. The ski itself is really fun! We have been very pleased with it. It's pretty stinking light and has a ton of energy. It's a solid performer that won't punish you if you want to noodle along, but will definitely reward you if you want to open up the throttle and get after it in any condition.
