Questions & Reviews
I'm looking for a good pair of bindings to put on my Blizzard Zero G 105's for general winter touring, and these are the top of my list! I want something adjustable to fit a couple different boots I have, but also light and powerful. These seem to fit the bill. Do you have any alternate suggestions I should be considering? Any general thoughts on the suitability of these?
David
The Blacklight 2.0 fits the bill, for sure. I would point out this binding really only has one riser height and a flat mode. I don't know if that changes your calculus.
As far as other bindings that you "should" be considering, there are tons of options. One binding that is even a little bit lighter and has two riser heights is the Plum Serak .
A pricier option, that is generally my favorite recommendation for a bomb-proof lean binding, is the ATK Haute Route Plus. You get full lateral and vertical adjustability along with two risers (plus a flat mode).
We have the binding listed as brakeless, so without the brake, there is a low riser and a high riser. With the addition of the brake, it uses the low riser to lock the brake up, so you lose the low riser!
