Dynafit ST Rotation Lite 7 Binding
With the launch of the Rotation 7, many lighter skiers were delighted to finally have a binding that provided reliable release at lower settings. Now, taking it a step further, Dynafit has built upon the reliable platform of the Rotation 7 to come up with the ST Rotation Lite 7. By utilizing an aluminum toe piece instead of one made from steel, Dynafit was able to shave off a little weight, which your legs will thank you for over the course of that big vertical day. The hub centering system allows the rotating toe piece to remain centered, alleviating frustration upon trying to step in. The roof of the heel unit also now sports an aluminum construction, which has the added benefit of being more durable when compared to the previous models. Last, but certainly not least, the binding now comes in skimo blue, and is proven to make you 10% faster.* For the person who understands that less is more (both in weight and release value), the Dynafit Rotation Lite 7 should be the first, second, and third on the list.
- Hub Centering toe piece allows for easy step-in.
- Rotating toe piece helps with the reliable release.
- Heel risers help for when the goin’ gets steep.
- Ice Breaker Pins help break the ice (try bringing it on your first date).
- 25mm BSL adjustment accommodates multiple boots.
- Forged aluminum, high-tech plastic, and stainless steel round out the construction.
*Not actually proven.
Update 2023/24: The binding remains the same albeit with a yellow paint job.

Questions & Reviews
Are they easy to step into with Dynafit pin boot ? Are Harcheisen / crampons available for them ? Can you ship to the U.K. ? Are they easy for an average person with drills & screwdrivers to fit ? Thanks in anticipation !!
Thanks for asking! If you need a release value below 7, these would be a great, safe option. Our experience has always been that Dynafit Rotations release very accurately.
They are fairly easy to step into, as tech bindings go. However, there is not a big toe-stop in the front like there is on some other tech toe pieces, so you do need to line the pins up. The award for easiest step-in on the market might go to the new Dynafit Ridge binding, which has a toe stop as well as a very light spring action.
Yes, the Rotation 7 has receptors for Dynafit crampons built-in. We do ship internationally - you can email us at help@skimo.co with your shipping and billing address and your phone number, and we can help you get a cost estimate. As far as mounting them, I would recommend having them professionally mounted by a shop unless you have a lot of experience mounting tech bindings and are willing to do it without a jig.
1. So long as your boot has tech fitting on the toe and heel for a pin binding like this one, it should be more than fine to step into. You'll still need to do a little alignment trial everytime you step into the toe but that's par for the course for any tech boot.
2. For crampons, you'll want to look here: Voila. Choose the 'classic' option in the size that is appropriate for your ski.
3. Are you saying that you're trying to mount these yourself? I would really not recommend trying to do it yourself without a jig or experience, mostly because proper alignments of the bindings with both boots makes or breaks the competency of the mount, but then to give you some problem solving options to consider - we do ship to the U.K. we also do mounting services...if you were planning on purchasing a ski with this binding from us we should be able to help mount it for you and ship it out.
If you are adamant about mounting yourself, feel free to email us at help@skimo.co and we can get one of our techs to upload a paper jig and maybe some helpful words of advice for the mounting process.
