Black Diamond GlideLite Mix FL Skins
The Black Diamond Glidelite Mix Skins are a robust and reliable climbing skin for reaching the tallest of summits. The 65/35 Nylon/Mohair plush mix strikes a balance between grip and glide, as well as durability and weight savings, offering the best of both worlds in the Nylon vs Mohair skin debate. The plush was updated from previous versions to be more supple and packable while receiving a Fluoro-free DWR (Durable Water Repellant) treatment to prevent water absorption and reduce the glopping potential during warmer and wetter tours. The Gold Label glue is, to borrow the eloquent verbiage of venerable orator Snoop Doggy Dogg, "sticky-icky-icky!" Thanks to the glue's incomparable stickiness, you can rest assured that your skins are staying on your bases until you peel them off. The tail straps are attached to the skin via a simple pin system, allowing for in-field repairs should one snap. If your requirements for your climbing skins are grippy, sticky, and reliable, then the Glidelite Mix from Black Diamond will meet all your needs.
- Gold Label glue is the gold standard for reliable and sticky skin adhesives.
- DWR treatment on plush prevents water absorption without increasing weight.
- Field-replaceable tail straps will be appreciated should you snap a strap on the track.
- Updated supple plush means the skins aren't as unwieldy when folding up for storage.
- Fixed Length (FL) skins have the tips and tails attached; you just need to trim the edges.
- Includes Black Diamond's Offset Trim Tool to make trimming the skins as easy as pie.

Any storage tips to help prevent this problem? I try to store in a cool dry place with a release strip in place.
Thanks,
Gregg
Many of us in the shop use Contour skins with the "guide" glue, and we find it to be very reliable, long-lasting, and not prone to having glue rot.
As for storage tips, you are doing the right thing by storing them in a cool, dry place. The only thing I would add is to make sure not to leave them in a car when there is a risk of overheating.
Another option to buying new skins is regluing them. If you were to successfully remove all the old glue, you would be able to reglue with the contour glue, which should give you fewer issues.

No, we are not able to order one skin. Keep in mind that a used skin will likely not have the same glue strength or glide feel on the plush.
Are they
I just lined one up on a 186, and unfortunately, the tail clip will not reach.
