I have a pair of Smith carbon poles that had an integrated ferrule and basket combination. Over time the baskets have broken off leaving only the ferrule which I have removed. Do you have a ferrule/basket combination that would work to fit these poles? Diameter is 7/16” and they appear to have no taper.
Hi Mike, unfortunately, we don't have that pole on hand to answer you exactly here. Your best bet might be to reach out to Smith and inquire if they have any parts/recommendations for compatible parts from other manufacturers.

I am trying to replace a broken basket for a 15mm pole (tip included),do you have one that meets that size? Thanks
Hey Joe, while offset race baskets might not be what most folks would use for powder, send us a few photos of the tips/baskets on those poles at help@skimo.co, and we'll see what we can find!
If you can give us a millimeter internal diameter of your current basket or external diameter where it attaches, that would also help a lot!
Hello, I am trying to replace the ferrule on old composite Smith poles. Hoe much taper does the Alp Ferrule have? The ends of my poles are just under 10mm in external diameter but have no taper. Thanks
Hi Benjamin, the internal diameter/opening is 10mm so that should be compatible. The external diameter narrows from 13mm to 12.5mm for the first 6.5cm of the ferrule, then narrows to 10.5mm over the last 1cm of plastic, so it's a pretty mellow taper that your poles could embed pretty deeply in.

Does your Alp Ferrule fit Black Diamond Flicklock poles? They are 7/16 inch diameter. How does one remove the old ferrule? Thank you!
Linda- The Alp ferrule has a 10mm opening at the top of the ferrule. Different poles have different tapers as well that can effect fit as well. To get an old ferrule off use a heat gun or boiling water to heat it up and get it off.

Hi, I have and older pair of Exel (Nova?) nordic poles for which I need new baskets. They look just like David Beckwith's from his 11/27/2020 question. It looks like the Rally basket is the correct oblong shape to accommodate the ferrule. Do you have any powder baskets that would fit this oblong shape? Thank you!
Justin, I measured the inside diameter at 16mm, so it should work for you. Thanks

I broke the lower shaft of an adjustable nordic pole. It has small and large outer diameters of 10 mm and 16 mm. Does the Ski Trab Magico Carbon Lower Shaft have these dimensions?
Thanks for your question, Jason. The Magico Lower shaft has a large outer diameter of 14mm. The diameter immediately above the ferrule is 11mm. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

I have some older exel poles with the exact same ferrule pictured in David Beckwith's Nov 2020 question. I need a replacement ferrule for one that snapped. The pole tip outer diameter is 15mm/ inner diameter 11.5mm. Are replacement ferrules (and basket if different configuration) available for this size pole? Thank you.
Hey Don, it sounds like the Rally basket may work for you, and I've set up an alert so you'll get an email when it's back in stock!

I'm looking at the Ski Trab Pole Parts, Vertical straps x 2 for $11.95. Would they work for a cross country ski pole? The width where they go into the top of the pole couldn't be greater than 1 cm wide.
Thanks for your question, Leigh. It is hard to say without seeing the pole, however, straps are typically specific to manufacturers/pole models. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

I have some poles with a 10mm diameter shaft. Do you have any alpine ferrules/collets/tips which would suit? thanks Nick
Hey Max, the Tornado QC baskets are designed for all the new Ski Trab Poles that have the Quick Change system. For the Ski Trab Poles with the QC system, they should just slide in and lock into place.
I took the liberty of sending you an email to answer this question. Your notifications have been set up and we will eagerly await the next arrival of Ski Trab gear!

DAVID BECKWITH
Looking for baskets for several sets of old Exel X-country ski poles. Ferrule section where basket attaches is oval, not round, approx. 14 mm X 17.5 mm. Vertical basket section is approx. 21.5 mm (see attached photos). Do you have anything which would come close?
I love when I am able to converse with a fellow Nordic skier. The Rally basket should work with that ferrule. I just measured the oval opening and the dimensions match up (14mm x 17.5mm) as well as the channel to hold everything in place. Hope this helps!
