Intuition Pro Tour Liners
Closed-cell EVA foam is known for its ability to hold a mold. That means after having your liners heat molded, they won’t start to return to a former shape and crowd your feet. The foam is also warmer than some other liner materials and is very dense which helps in high-performance skiing. All Intuition liners are made with specially formulated closed-cell EVA foam, which is why they are often the first choice for pro skiers. The Pro Tour is an Intuition foam liner with flex zones to improve articulation in touring boots.

* The Low Volume version is much thinner than the Medium Volume and weighs 22g less in size 26. The High Volume is much thicker than the Medium Volume liner and will take up more space making the fit tighter.
* Sizing: For whole-sized touring boots (e.g. 26.0), order the liner in the same size as your boot. For half sizes (e.g. 26.5), round down for most boot models except those using "SCARPA sizing" (where 26.5 is the same shell as 27.0). For SCARPA boots, round up. How does the pro tour compare to the tour mod, has any one used the mod. Im skiing the one px sz 27. The dynafit liner has never been a good fit, I need more room at the toe and instep and a tighter fit at the cuff for very thin ankles and calf. I have about 1 finger shell fit. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Hey David, thanks for reaching out. The Pro Tour and Tour Mod are fairly similar in their intended use, however the cuff of the Pro Tour is definitely burly and substantial and would probably take care of the issue you're describing. The standard Pro Tour is pretty thick, probably too thick for a 1 finger shell fit, but there is a Low Volume version that we will be getting in shortly that is designed to be thinner and more appropriate for a 1 finger shell fit.

How much (if any) stiffness would these add to a one motion tongue style boot like the TLT 6 or Spitfire? Any?

Hey Dane! I'd say it goes more along the lines of adding support and substance to the boot, rather than purely increasing stiffness. The real issue would be the thickness of the Pro Tour vs. the TLT6/Spitfire liners. The Pro Tour is going to be a fair bit thicker than the liner in either of those boots, so it would effectively reduce volume. I'd say, if you are looking to reduce the volume in your boot and could stand to make the boot a bit more substantial (this applies to both walk and ski mode) then the Pro Tour is a good fit for you.

I have the original Vulcans in 27.5 and both stock liners have holes worn into the ankle areas. Do you know if a size 28 medium volume liner would fit 27.5 Vulcan shells?

What's a good replacement liner for a Skimo boot like the Dynafit Dy N.A. Evo. What can I do to fit the boot better? It fits great length wise, but feels narrow to me in the instep after long days with odd foot pain. I'm considering new liners and inserts, but am curious as to my best (perhaps limited?) options with a skimo type boot.

Hi Ryan, you'll want a much thinner, race-style liner for the DyNA (especially if you find it narrow). Check out the Palau ultralight.

I think I can get my TLT 5 mountains to limp through another season or two with a new liner. I have a low volume foot and the TLT 5 fit fairly well when I first got them, that said it wouldn't have hurt if I had a bit more liner material in the boot from the beginning. Would you recommend going with an intuition liner or a stock TLT 6 liner? thanks!

Hey Daniel, you could definitely do the Pro Tour Liner in the TLT5 but my only concern is the thickness of the cuff material on the Pro Tour vs. the TLT6 liner. If you have extra room to go larger in the cuff buckle then the Pro Tour could be a good choice, if you are running the buckle at one of the largest settings possible then the TLT6 liner will be a better choice.

Would this liner work in the PDG boot? I'm a size 29 boot and assume a 29 liner would be the right fit? I'd like to take up a little volume and be able to tighten it down a little more compared to the stock dynafit liner.

Hi Tim, this liner is much higher volume than the stock PDG. You might get a size 28 in the shell, but it would be hard to close the cuff since these are especially thick and stiff in that area.

fitting these in dynafit tlt6 performance cl size 30.5 (shell size 30.0 - 30.5)
intuition website recommends rounding up from half size, but the shell is the same as the 30.0
feel like i am swimming a bit in the dynafit stock liners so would like to snug up the fit if possible

Hey Joel. I don't think a size 31 liner would even fit in that, I'd stick with the 30. Intuition blatantly says "Round Up" with the Pro Tour on their website but from our experience it causes more issues than if you were to round down (by round down I mean stick with the size 30). -Trace

Intuition liners are the gold standard for a reason. They can cure a number of boot fitting problems which are often attributed to the shell. For me, they are a godsend when more instep room is needed, which is often and do a great job of locking my narrow heel into boots which fit my wide, flat forefoot and bony ankle.
They are almost always warmer than stock liners, which can be a good or bad thing, and can be very high volume when compared to many stock touring liners. If the stock liner isn't cutting it, there is no replacement I could more highly recommend. Life expectancy seems to be about 80-100 days, which seems reasonable to me.

Could you put a size 29 liner in a size 28 shell for more room for toes or would it be too big too fit in shell? Dynafit TLT 6 mountain boots

Hi Thomas, that wouldn't fit very well. Best way to make more space is a heat mold with a toe cap using a size 28.

Hi Chris, they sure could. Though these are specifically designed for alpine touring boots since the flex zone in the back helps with the walk mode.
