Closed-cell EVA foam is known for its ability to hold a mold. That means after having your liners heat molded, they won’t start to return to a former shape and crowd your feet. The foam is also warmer than some other liner materials and is very dense which helps in high-performance skiing. All Intuition liners are made with specially formulated closed-cell EVA foam, which is why they are often the first choice for pro skiers. The Pro Tour is an Intuition foam liner with flex zones to improve articulation in touring boots.

  • Uniform cell structure traps gasses for the highest quality memory foam.
  • Patented foam without fillers is lighter than traditional sewn or injected liners.
  • Ankle flex zone increases comfort and range of motion when skiing uphill.
  • Integrated lacing system securely wraps your foot to help avoid blisters.
  • Liners can be reheated several times and will still retain their shape.
  • Available with three thickness ratings: low, medium, and high volume*.

* The Low Volume version is much thinner than the Medium Volume and weighs 22g less in size 26. The High Volume is much thicker than the Medium Volume liner and will take up more space making the fit tighter.

* Sizing: For whole-sized touring boots (e.g. 26.0), order the liner in the same size as your boot. For half sizes (e.g. 26.5), round down for most boot models except those using "SCARPA sizing" (where 26.5 is the same shell as 27.0). For SCARPA boots, round up. If you have questions, you can call or email us at help@skimo.co and we can help find your best liner.

Update 2023/24: The Pro Tour has been replaced by the Tour Tongue, which can be found here.

Question from Justin

I need replacement liners for Garmont Ener-g telemark size 28.0. My feet are pretty crammed in there and have worn through the liner at my big toe. I like the factory Garmont liners and would like something similar that would give me a bit more room. Thank you

Answer from Julieana

Hey Justin,

These will be fairly comparable other than the velcro tongue over the top of the foot. That may create some pressure over your toes when you flex the boot. If that sounds concerning, another potential option would be the Palau Power LT.

Looking for replacement liner for Fischer Ranger Free 130 boot in a 27.5 shell. My feet are pretty lowe volume.
thanks!

Hi Matt,

Out of the liners that we carry, the Intuition Pro Tour in a MV will be the closest fit to the Fischer Ranger Free 130 stock liner.

If you are looking to take up additional space as compared with the stock liner, go with the HV.

Question from Robie

My questions are. What size pro tour liner will work in a Scarpa Laser with a shell size 28.5 /29 .
There is 1" heel room in the shell without liner . Currently the boot has a 290 liner in it and is too loose with a 10.5 foot size and no other fit issues.
Will the high Volume liners solve this?
Boot is used both for occasional lift and light touring.
Thanks

Answer from Tristan M

Hi Robie,

The Intuition Pro Tour HV is a very high volume liner. If you need to take up a lot of extra space, I would go with the HV version. Otherwise, I think the MV would be the better choice.

Hi! Interested in buying and trying to find correct size for a pair of tecnica zero g pro tour in 27.5. Given my feet, the low volume option is a must. Should I go 28 or 27?

Hi Tyler,

For a 27.5 shell in the Tecnica Zero G Tour Pro, I would go with the Intuition Pro Tour in a 27.0.

I have Dynafit Hoji Free. Which has more flexibility when hiking up, Intuition Pro Tour or Palau All Track Power and which is similar to a stock liner?
Can I use a boot oven to heat mold these liners?
9/27/2022
Answer from Cole P

Hey Satoru, the Palau All Track Power has more flexibility for the hike up compared to the Intuition Pro Tour. The Medium Volume Pro Tour will be closest to the Stock liner of the Dynafit Hoji Free. Both options are heat moldable.

I have a pair of Scott Cosmos that I have been using for touring and resort skiing for three seasons. The boots have been extremely comfortable but as I’ve started skiing harder and harder lines I’ve noticed that My feet don’t feel very well supported. My guess is that my stock liners have packed out so I’m looking to replace them this year. Any suggestions on which liner and or which liner thickness I should be looking at? My Cosmos are 28.5.
8/29/2022
Answer from eric

Dalton, The MV or medium volume liners should be a direct replacement for a lot of stock liners. Think back to when the boot was new, if you liked the fit then MV is the right choice. If you think you would want even snugger than that go HV. If they were really tight than maybe LV but I kind of think that might give you too much room in that boot.

i ski in a 24.5 salomon slab mtn and have since 2018, the stock liner is coming apart on the inside, is this the right item to replace it?
i have a pretty tight fit so low volume appears to be what i would want.

Answer from Jeremy L

Thanks for reaching out, James. We think you're spot on with your liner choice. The low volume in a 24 seems like the way.

thank you, i ordered a pair. hopefully i dont need to re-heat mold anything.
4/12/2022

These will break in naturally over a few tours. If you do get any hotspots please know that heat molding these will speed up the process and generally only does good things for the liner and your feet. I hope that helps.

Question from Jake

My alpine boots are a 24.5 with a nice tight fit. I've been touring in Dynafit Radical 25.5 because I ice climb in them often too, so a bit of room to spend all day in and kick is nice. After two seasons the original liner is getting packed and my toe box and heels are getting pretty loose. I have just more than two fingers in the shell. Should I be looking at the 26HV liner? And if so, when will you have this in stock? Thanks!
3/30/2022
Answer from Zak M

Hey Jake, most likely the medium volume Intuition could also work fairly well for you as well. Adding some boot shims to take up some extra volume could also be a good idea!

Question from Matt

Hi,

I’ve got a pair of Atomic Backland Pro, 26/26.5, and looking to upgrade the liner and footbed. I’ve got a narrow foot and looking for a liner to take up some volume. I’ve got quite a bit of foot movement within the boot even when the boot is cinched as tight as possible. Would you recommend the low or medium volume liner?

I’ve also got a high arch and need a liner recommendation.

Thanks,
Matt

Answer from Brett S

Hey Matt, for this boot most folks would be happiest with a LV. If you have an extreme amount of space to fill, the MV could work (though it would probably need to be thermoformed. For an insole, it sounds like a Green Superfeet would be the best option. It's one of the highest arch types they make, and will also help take up volume.

Question from Erik

Hi, I have a pair of 2021 Hawx Ultra XTD , size 25.5 with the new Mimic liner.
The problem with the liner is that it gives me blisters on the heel and it's a bit restrictive in the stride while touring.
So I'm looking for a replacement which have laces (to hold the foot and prevent blisters), a little tighter in the heel and a bit more touring friendly. I have a quite narrow heel and low volume foot.
What do you recommend?
3/23/2022
Answer from Ian C

Hi Erik, either this liner or the Palau All Tracks Power seem to check your boxes! I would definitely recommend a heat mold on either of these.

Thanks!
If I go with this Intuition, would you recommend high or medium volume?
In the shell, if I stand upright with toes just touching the front, I got about 20 mm clear behind the heel.
3/23/2022
Answer from Brett S

Hey Erik, you'd be better off with the medium volume!
3/24/2022
Answer from Erik G

Ok great. I was looking in a catalog from Intuition (a couple of years old) and it said "Size up on the half size (ex.: 27.5/9.5 = 28/10)". Does that mean I should have a size 26 liner in a 25.5 boot? Or is this recommendation from a time when they didn't have half sizes?
3/24/2022
Answer from Brett S

Hey Erik! Scarpa boots break on the half-size and are subject to the rounding up or down guidelines. Because your boot breaks on the whole size, you can go with the 25. Some folks with lower volume feet have had luck sizing up one size with this liner, though you would want to have it molded.

Hi,
I recently switched from an old scarpa tx2 what fit me like a glove to a scarpa TXPro. Though the calves are tight, my feet feel like they are just sloshing around in the txpro. I have a narrow, low volume foot with a high arch. size 25. Would a high volume liner help? which would you recommend?
Thanks Heaps
3/22/2022
Answer from Jeff

Sarah, The High Volume would be the ticket for you. I'm not sure how the TX Pro liner and this Intuition cuff compare. But most likely it is even thicker than the liner in your boot. So will be tighter yet.

Question from Oliver K

Hi,
I have a Scarpa Meastrale RS in 26.5 (the white model). It is slightly too large but I needed the size for the width of the foot. In order to get a good hold I need to buckle tight, which results in numbness. I get 3 fingers behind the foot in the shell. Would the HV version help to get a better fit but still coping with the required width for the foot?
Regards,
Oliver
3/11/2022
Answer from Tristan M

Hi Oliver,

Based on your 3 finger shell fit, it sounds like you are about a shell size too big. If you are looking to salvage your current boots, an Intuition Pro Tour HV is your best bet. You may need to very aggressively heat mold the lateral foam in order to preserve the current last width, or maybe even punch the shell. However, taking up excess space in a boot with a thicker liner is merely a band-aid, as the liner will eventually pack out, and you will be back to square one.

In the future, I would avoid sizing up to achieve the correct width, as you will end up with a less than ideal fit. Instead, I would choose a boot with the appropriate last width in the correct size. Additionally, freeride boots can generally hold a punch well, so a skilled boot fitter could help you get some additional last width. Question from Eric Noll

Hello - I have a pair of Radical Pro boots in 25.5. I'm looking at getting a pair of the Pro Tour liners to snug up the fit. My heel sits snugly, but it's a little looser than I'd like on the outside of my ankles. I also have skinny calves, so am cranking the upper buckles and power strap pretty tight. I'm wondering if these will help achieve a tighter fit, particularly at the outside of my foot and calves? How does the MV compare to the thickness of the stock liner? Would it be advisable to go up to the HV to get the fit I'm seeking? Thanks for your help.
3/8/2022
Answer from Zak M

Hey Eric, the Intuition Pro Tour Medium Volume Liner would be a fair amount thicker than the stock liner that comes with the Dynafit Radical Pro boot. I would say the Medium volume would be a good place to start off, but it really just depends on how much volume you need to take up. You could also try some Drop in foot beds to help take up some volume in the heel pocket if you don't already have some in your boots.

Question from Quenten

I recently got the Dynafit Radical Pro in my normal size of 25.5. The shop molded the liners with toe caps and did some shell work over my instep. Using a drop in footbed. Boots are pretty good and I love how they walk and ski. Problem is that my toes are still very scrunched. Shell fit is just over one finger. Would an after market liner help? Would one these in a 26 LV work?
2/24/2022
Answer from Brett S

Thanks for reaching out, Quenten. Compared to the stock Radical Pro liner, an Intuition Pro Tour will offer just a bit more room in the toe, but not much. If you're on the closer side to a one-finger fit, it may be worth having a reputable shop stretch the boot with a hydraulic press!

Question from Curtis

Hey,

I have a size 28.5 Dynafit TLT 6 with about 1.5 fingers behind the heel in a shell fit. Intuition would recommend a 29 MV pro tour, does that sound right?

Thanks,
Curtis
2/22/2022
Answer from Ian C

Hey Curtis, the MV Pro Tour is pretty thick and best paired with beefier boots. I would try the LV version or a different lower volume liner such as the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo. Palau makes the liners for many Dynafit boots so you may find they fit better.

I’m probably one hundred plus days in on these liners, and thought I’d update my earlier review. I probably would not buy any other liners. Pretty warm, super comfortable, yet when you need it, clamp them down and they give me all the power I need. As mentioned they are a little fat in the cuff, ( power to the edge). I have another pair of TLT6’s with shot liners, this is what they will get.

One other thing, the folks at skimo never fail to impress me with their outstanding service. For example the last time I called with a should have figured it out myself question, I could tell the person who took the call was super busy, but they insisted on holding my hand till my; should have figured it out myself problem was solved.

Question from Philip Derrow

I just bought a pair of Atomic Hawx 130 Prime XTD size 26/26.5 and my shop doesn’t sell Intuition liners. I love my intuition ProWrap liners for my regular alpine boots. What’s the best liner and size for my touring boots
2/21/2022
Answer from Julieana

Hey Phillip, I have the Atomic Hawx 130 and used the Medium Volume Pro Tour option and felt it was an extremely appropriate pairing. If you want a snugger fit, the medium volume is the way to go, if you need a little space, go with the low volume. A size 26 liner will be the correct one for your 26.5 boot.

Question from rick w

I have a pair of Scarpa Maestrale version 1.0 (orange and black) 314mm sole. I need to replace the boot liners and considering the Intuition Pro Tour. The liners are well worn and any size information has been warn off except the numbers on to of the tongue, 275-10609-501/1. My foot is 102 waist with a high arch.
What size and volume liner do you recommend, a 27 LV or 28 MV ?
2/12/2022
Answer from Brett S

Thanks for reaching out, Rick. If you have a tight "finger" fit, go with a 28.0 LV. If you have a looser "finger and half-fit," go with a 28MV.

Question from Christian Thompson

Hi, I have the Scarpa F1 LT in a 28, which is slightly large. The 27 was very tight. I went on my first tour with the boots, about 10 miles and they were very comfortable, however, my heel does slip significantly when in walk mode. Would the medium volume version of this liner help with the heel slip and add a bit of warmth?
1/31/2022
Answer from Zak M

Hey Christian, adding a thicker higher volume liner could help some. You could also looking into adding some Boot Shims or a number of different Superfeet options depending on what fits your arch to take up some volume.
