Intuition Pro Tour Liners
Closed-cell EVA foam is known for its ability to hold a mold. That means after having your liners heat molded, they won’t start to return to a former shape and crowd your feet. The foam is also warmer than some other liner materials and is very dense which helps in high-performance skiing. All Intuition liners are made with specially formulated closed-cell EVA foam, which is why they are often the first choice for pro skiers. The Pro Tour is an Intuition foam liner with flex zones to improve articulation in touring boots.

* The Low Volume version is much thinner than the Medium Volume and weighs 22g less in size 26. The High Volume is much thicker than the Medium Volume liner and will take up more space making the fit tighter.
* Sizing: For whole-sized touring boots (e.g. 26.0), order the liner in the same size as your boot. For half sizes (e.g. 26.5), round down for most boot models except those using "SCARPA sizing" (where 26.5 is the same shell as 27.0). For SCARPA boots, round up. I have a LaSportiva Spectre 2.0 in 26.5, with a 1.5 finger shell fit. The stock liners are so packed out I feel like I'm swimming haha. Do I want the Pro Tour liners in a 26 or 27 -- and what volume? Thanks!

Devin, You would want to get a size 26. If you felt you need a snugger fit when new, go with the Medium.

I have a pair of La Sportiva Spectre 2's in 27 and I'm trying to address some heel slip issues due to a slightly improper fit. My foot is closer to a size 26 and I've got a good 2 fingers of space in the shell. I'm hoping that a high volume liner will help address my fit issues but am trying to decide whether to go with a 26 liner that might fit my foot better or the 27 that would line up with my boot. Looking for any suggestions you've got!

Noah, You should stick to the same size liner as your shell, or the liner will slip around in the shell. You would need the Medium and we only have Low in 27 left.

I have a pair of Salomon MTN Lab boots in 28.5. The fit has become pretty sloppy and I'm having heel retention issues (i.e. blisters).
I want to replace the liners. Knowing this boot has a narrow last and I have a narrower foot, I'm not sure if I need the low volume liner or medium.
The description for the Low Volume seems to say that the liner is thinner, but in some of your previous answers, you say the low volume liner will take up extra volume...
If you could clarify this, it would be most helpful.

Love my 27.5 Atomic Backland Carbons -- especially on the "up"! I'm fortunate to have unfinicky feet and the out-of-the-box fit is spot on. What I'm looking for is a way to stiffen them up, for the "down". Would the Intuition Pro Tour Liner be the ticket? Again, no problems with fit, circulation, or warmth, so would the Medium or Low Volume fit better (in the shell) with the goal of providing greater stiffness? Also open to other Liners/suggestions that you might have... Thx!

Hey Brendan! Nice. Normal-ish feet for the win! Here's what I would look at before I purchased a new liner:
1) Make sure the tongues are installed on the way down.
2) Install a burly power strap. The boot is plenty stiff, but the cuff is low and gives the illusion that it's softer than it really is because your legs have so much leverage over them.
3) Avoid mashing through the forward flex with your knees while skiing. Let your shins make contact with the tongue of the liner and then roll the skis on edge.
4) If you've already done those three things (sounds like you have, but I listed them just in case anyone else was reading), then feel free to install a new liner. I would start with the LV if the fit in the Backland was doing reasonably well with the stock liner.

Hey Jon! This is the liner that we've been using in the TLT6 for years. If you are set on the Pro Tour Liner though, I would go for the LV version, but maybe only if you are trying to take up a little bit of extra space.

I ski a garmont ener-g tele boot size 27.5, and I'm wondering if the 28 liner in the medium would be a good fit for me. (They said to size up with the pro tour liner) The original liner is getting worn out, uncomfortable, and it usually results in loss of a toenail or two after bootpacking up steep slopes all winter! I have the one finger fit in the boot without a liner. I definitely prefer to have a roomier toe area, but also need it nice and snug around the rest of the foot. I'm curious if there is enough room in the boot for the medium liner with heat molding and toe pads to get the fit that I'm looking for? Or would the thinner one be better? Thanks for your help!

Hey Carl! Sorry for the slow turnaround time with this one. If you have a 1 finger shell fit, then definitely go with the LV version. A 2 finger shell fit is generally what most boots are based on as far as dimensions and fitting go, so if you are a 1 finger fit, then the LV will probably be the better choice.

Another sizing question - I have the blue 2017/2018 Scarpa F1 in a 29. Shell is correct size based on finger test but stock liner is not as tight as I'd like in some spots. I've made some mods that helped but think a thicker liner to start with may help.
I just tried to install Pro Tour high volume liners but they were too thick.
So my question: how do the low and medium volume protours compare with the stock F1 liner? Do you think the medium has potential to give me the fit I'm after?

Hey Andy! The low volume is probably the closest to the stock F1 liner, so if you are trying to take up some extra space, I'd go for the medium volume.

I am having some heel retention issues with Scarpa Aliens and stock liners. I have about two fingers of space in the shells. Do you think these liners would be a reasonable upgrade, and provide some thickness to mold a better heel pocket? Thanks.

Hey Sean! I think that putting a bigger liner in there has potential to fix the solution. Here's my thought: if the liners fit fine except for the heel issues and they are new-ish, throw some foam j-bars around the heel to lock them in. If you are getting heel slip issues and you have instep/volume issues, a footbed might be the solution instead of a new liner. If you have had volume and heel issues from the beginning though then a thicker liner might help. Probably not the Pro Tour though, it's a pretty burly liner for an Alien. If you want to take up a bit of extra space, look at the 7mm option of this. I'd say anything burlier than this liner though and we're looking at some different heel issues that need to be addressed.

Hey Marc. Thanks for reaching out. I haven't played around too much with the Khion so this is going off of memory, but based on what I've seen the Pro Tour liner is probably a great replacement liner for that boot. I don't think sizing up is a good call, the 27 would do much better there for sure.

Hi Kostas, in most circumstances we suggest purchasing the size of liner that corresponds with the size of your boot. If extra toe room is needed, we suggest using a larger toe cap during the molding process to achieve the toe room you desire.

Do not be afraid to size up. Technic Cochise liners (Palau) were short lasted, and I believe the same happened with the Zero G's. Combine that with Tecnica generally having a longer toe box, and you can definitely size up. I'm skiing size 28 Intuition Wrap liners in a 27.5 Cochise and the fit is perfect. Going all the way back to Raichle Thermoflex liners, I skied a size 29 in a 27.5 Tecnica Icon XT, and again the fit was spot on.

Hey Joel! This is a pretty burly liner and you'd likely eat up a bunch of volume which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you're looking to do with it. If you are going to go with the Pro Tour though, I would stick with whatever size your boot is and go for the Low Volume. Medium Volume *might* work if you are interested in eating up a bunch of volume though, but I'm suspecting that it might be a bit too tight.

Victor I would say do the same size in an Intuition Pro Tour liner. For your foot the low volume liner would probably be a good choice. Warmth is a function of blood flow more than foam. So having a good fit with proper blood flow will be warmer over any thick foam.

Hi, I have 28/28.5 Backland Carbons. 2 finger fit, shell has not been molded (yet). Baked stock liner, wide foot, some pressure over metatasal and arch area. Room in toe box. Stock liner felt cold on first day. What would you recommend for size in Pro tour liner? Vol Low/Med? Warmer? thanks

Hi Toby, it's definitely a snug fit to pull off a Pro Tour liner inside the Backland Carbon, but I know a couple people who have. I would definitely suggest going with the low volume liner, as there's a good chance you won't be able to get the cuff buckled with the medium volume.

Hi Toby, just a follow up as I realized I may have not answered your question completely. I would suggest going with a size 28 liner if you're in a 28/28.5 shell. I also highly recommend you have them molded by a competent fitter to ensure the best fit.

Hi Jason, The medium volume Pro Tour liner is likely a better replacement for the stock if you are looking to go with this Intuition liner. Especially if you have narrow feet and need the liner to take up some space. If you'd like to stick with the stock liner, we do offer the Scarpa Pro Flex G liner which is what comes in the Maestrale.

Just curious which volume Pro Tour is closest to the Dynafit TLT6 CR liner? I'd like to put Pro Tours in a pair of 27/27.5 Backland Carbons, and my (well-loved) CR liners from my 27 TLT6s seem to fit nicely in my BCs (both in the shell and around my foot)
