Question from Garrett

Will the Radical ST brakes work on the Radical RT bindings?
1/11/2020
Answer from TSB

Hey Garrett, we have not seen the Radical RT, and not even a search of ski-antiquarian Lou Dawson's site could pull up a match! What is this binding? Feel free to reach out to help@skimo.co with a photo.

Question from John

Hello and thank you for your help. Will a Radical ST 100mm brake w/ Baseplate interchange onto an ST Rotation 12 binding? I am hoping to swap out a brake size.

Answer from Teddy Young

Hey John, the Radical ST brake will not work, so you'll need a Rotation or Radical 2 brake!

Question from Craig Muderlak

Im thinking of getting the TLT Speed 12. Any opinion on how problematic the fact that you can't go full flat footed with it in tour mode? Also, general impression of the binding. Final qeustion: do you you think the 105 break work on work on a 110 ski?
Thanks,
Craig
11/29/2019
Answer from Jeff

Craig, the Speed is pretty close to 0. The Speed is +3, quite close to Zero, few bindings come in at perfectly flat. So no problem. The Speed's new Turret design gives good performance in a light package. The 105mm brake should be pretty close to fit your 110mm ski, maybe have to bend out a bit.

Question from Jim

I have the Dynafit Superlite 2.0 bindings. Is there a break compatible with those bindings and 115mm skis?
11/29/2019
Answer from Jeff

Jim, the 105mm brake is the widest Dynafit makes for the Superlight. If you want to go with that combination you would need to bend out. This brake is more compact and may be tougher to get to fit and still be an effective stopper.

Question from Clay

If I have dynafit tlt speed 12 bindings without breaks... how difficult is it to add breaks? Would it require the entire rear binding be remounted?
11/27/2019
Answer from Jeff

Clay, they go on without removing the heel. Slide on and two screws.

Question from Mir

Hi there,

I've got the Dynafit Vertical TNT, and it is mounted on a 110mm wide under foot ski. I'm looking for a brake, and it looks like the widest you carry is 100mm. Is that right? Or am I my not finding anything wider? Thanks!!
11/1/2019
Answer from Jeff

Mir, sorry that's it. The Verticals have been out of production for about 6 years and new parts are no longer available. If you want to add brakes you will have to bend them out.

Question from Steven

I've a set of Dynafit TLT Vertical ST bindings that I'd like to move to another pair of skis. The new skis have a 124mm waist. What are my brake options, if any?
7/29/2019
Answer from Jeff

Steven, We have only up to 100mm. I looked through our used collection and found just one 110mm brake. The Vertical brake is unique in the Dynafit world and nothing else would be compatible.

Question from Matt

Do you know when you will have more Beast 120mm replacement brakes in stock? I need a full set (2 Brakes) and there is currently only one listed in stock. Thanks.
7/18/2019
Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Matt, unfortunately we aren’t able to get any more of those brakes from Dynafit right now, and with it being an older binding, I’m not sure if there will be any more available in the future.

I have a pair of ST Rotation 10 bindings with 120 mm brakes. I am looking for smaller brakes, something closer to 105 mm. Do you have anything here that will work? Thank you.

Answer from jbo

Hi Callie, this is definitely the place to look! Unfortunately, we are out of the 105mm Rotation brakes for the season. We expect more in the fall.

Question from Jorge Garcia

I have a set of older Mt. Baker skis (which I love) with Dynafit Vertical ST bindings. I'm planning to do a trip to the Haute Route in Europe, and they want me to have brakes (they don't have brakes currently). So, my questions are: is it just a matter of getting these ski brakes and installing them (or having them installed by somebody)? Is there something I need to check before ordering the brakes?
2/27/2019
Answer from jbo

Hi Jorge, the Vertical ST brakes found here will fit right on! Give us a shout if you need help installing.

I have the 2016 model of the TLT Radical ST Ski Bindings, but I have the wrong brake size for my skis. Will the Radical ST's listed here work?
2/25/2019
Answer from jbo

Hi Forbes, yes they will! Remember they are sold individually so it sounds like you should order a pair (qty 2).

Question from Garth S

I apologize in advance for a potentially repetitive question, but I want to make sure I'm clear on everything!
I (like a few before me) am trying to get a narrower pair of brakes for the Radical ST 2.0's... I understand that the ST Rotation brakes are compatible BUT you're out of stock for the season. Would the older 'Radical ST 110mm' brakes work, or are they incompatible? Thank you!
Another question! In your opinion, would the 135mm brakes be annoying to use if mounted on a 106 underfoot ski? There's definitely some psychic angst in not having the right fit, but if the narrower brakes are impossible to find I'm fine with putting up with elephant-ears brakes for the foreseeable future... thank you for your helpful responses!
3/7/2019
Answer from eric

Garth- All Radical 2.0 and Rotation brakes are interchangeable. All other Dynafit bindings will have a different brake and not be compatible with each other. 135mm brakes will stick out a fair amount past your skis edges. If you dont mind the possibility of catching them together while walking than you could use them.

Question from Dylan

Hi there, I have a pair of Dynafit Radical 2s with 120mm brakes and I'm looking to downsize to a pair of 92mm skis. Do you have anything in stock that would work for this? If not, do you know when you will?
2/14/2019
Answer from eric

Dylan- Everything we have is listed in the above drop down menu. There are no more of these brakes at Dynafit as of now. My guess is we will not see more until next season.

Question from George

Hi,

I recently purchased some TLT radical ST 2.0 bindings and I need to downsize from a 135 mm brake to a 105ish brake, what are my options? From reading the above questions and answers, it sounds like the 105 ST rotation brakes will work?

Thanks for the clarification!

Question from Tim Ronan

I am wondering if you have 120 mm brakes for Dynafit TLT Radical FT 2.0 bindings? I only need the brake piece. I have the bindings and want to put them on a fatter ski. I do not see 120 mm width on the website. Thanks for the help.

Hi Tim, those brakes have been discontinued but the ST Rotation brakes are compatible. We have those in a 120, remember you may need two!
