Question from Ben

Would a Radical 2.0 ST heel work on a Rotation brake baseplate? If not, do you have any idea as to when either 90 or 105 Radical 2.0 ST baseplates will be restocked?

Answer from Nate

Hi Ben, yes the Rotation and Radical 2.0 baseplates are cross compatible.

Question from Steve

Hello,

I have a circa 2014 Dynafit Speed Radical bindings on a 105 width ski. I'm starting to get nightmares about losing one, so am looking at adding brakes. Which of the many options you have listed are compatible with that binding? Thank you, Steve
1/14/2019
Answer from Nate

Hi Steve, unfortunately the Speed Radical bindings are not compatible with brakes. There's an option from Kreuszpitze but you will have to install it before every descent and remove it before skiing. You can find it here

Question from Charlie

Are the brake arms all the same on thes brakes? Trying to just replace brake arms on radical ft to 100m what would you reccomend? Thanks
1/5/2019
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Charlie! Not really, there are some structural and geometric differences between the brakes that makes them specific to that exact model. Best bet is going to be to purchase a Radical FT or ST 100mm baseplate that includes the brakes.

Question from Steve

Do Radical ST and FT have the same brakes/baseplate? I need a narrower brake for an FT, something in the 90mm range. Can I use ST brakes?
12/26/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Steve! Structurally, the baseplates are identical and there are a few small cosmetic differences. You can definitely use an ST, but just know that it won't have the huge carbon support thing that the FT uses to bridge the gap between the toe and the heel. Should be perfectly compatible though.

Question from Alexander Dimitrov

I need only the metal plate that sits on top of the stopper when mounted (it is seen at the bottom of picture 3).
Do you sell this separately?
If not, is it included if I buy the full stopper set?

My bindings are Vertical ST

Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Alexander! This is the metal "H" clip that you are looking for, correct? If so, one h clip is included with each individual brake when purchased new.

Question from John Greene

Hello, will your Beast 105mm work on my Beast 14 binding? Thanks.
12/8/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey John! We haven't ever carried that binding, but as far as I know, they should work. I think the heel piece is the same between the various Beast bindings, so it should be fine.

Question from Chris

Skis are 112 underfoot, Dynafit brake options are 105 or 120, can the 105 be bent to fit?
12/1/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Chris! They probably could, but I think standard industry advice would be to go with the 120mm option.

Question from Dave

So I'm not totally sure if I messed up or not. I have a set of dynamite TLT radical FT 2.0 bindings with 135mm brakes (that I picked up last spring for cheap), but the skis I want to put them on are voile v6 163s with a 96mm waist for my wife. Can I get brakes for these? Do you have them?

THanks
Dave

Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Dave! We have more of those brakes on the way and they should be here soon-ish actually. I think the options are 90 or 105mm. Want me to put your email address down so you get a notification when they arrive?

Hi, do you have any "Radical 2.0 90mm w/ Baseplate" stock incoming? And could I get on that email notification list if so? Thanks!

A.D. We are still waiting on some of our parts for the season. I did put your name on the notifications list for a set of those brakes.

Question from Johnno

Just ordered tlt speedfits. Ski underfoot is 110. Will the 105 have enough wiggle room?
11/25/2018
Answer from eric

Johnno, There is some wiggle room on most brakes. The big thing is if the side wall is square at the top sheet there is less wiggle room. If the side wall tapers at all you should be fine.

Question from Jed

I have the TLT Radical ST 2.0 135mm. I'd like to order the Radical ST 110mm, will this base plate/brake combo work with my current binding?
11/20/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Jed! That's a negative. It's very important that if you have the Radical 2.0, you stick with a 2.0 brake. The Radical and Radical 2.0 are different in terms of the hardware and there's not a whole lot of compatibility across the models. I think we should be getting more Radical 2.0 105mm brakes in stock soon. Let me know if you'd like me to put your email down on a notification list for when they show up and I can make it happen.

Question from Tim

Hi I have a pair of Dynafit TLT radical ST 2.0's 135mm. Would these breaks fit my new Salomon QST 106's?
11/2/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Tim! It's a decent amount wider than I'd like to see. You'll bash the brakes together while skinning and they'll catch while skiing steeps. Not ideal in those cases but if it's for mellow powder skiing then you might be able to get away with it. Ideally I'd like to see you on a 105mm brake.

Question from Joshua B

I have the Dynafit TLT Radical FT Binding circa 2015, and need a new brake size for a narrower ski. (currently a 130mm brake) Will the Radical FT 110mm brake fit the current binding and new Moment Wildcat Tour 108?

Answer from Teddy Young

Yes, those brakes should work well for your setup!

Question from Max

I have a Dynafit TLT Speed Radical that came with no brakes. It is mounted on a 2014 K2 Backdrop, 112 at the sole. What do I need to put brakes on my binding?
10/12/2018
Answer from Nate

Hi Max, unfortunately the Speed Radical binding does not allow for brakes to be added. You could potentially convert your Radical into a Radical ST by purchasing Radical ST brakes, heel turrets, and toe plates for the Radical ST but it can be a bit pricey to do so.

Question from Chris

Will these work with the dynafit st binding (4 year old binding)? My wife is jumping up to a wider ski and her current brakes are too narrow. Thanks!
10/5/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Chris! There might be a few options. Will you either link a picture in the next comment or send me an email with a picture of the binding to make sure we're talking about the same thing? The reason I ask is because there are about a dozen bindings with the "ST" moniker and there were two or three in circulation at that point in time so it's important to make sure we're on the same page.

Question from Kris

Will the Radical brake fit on the FT?
9/17/2018
Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Kris! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately about 80% of Dynafit's bindings in the past 8 years have had an "ST," "FT," or "Speed" designation so it's totally possible, though very difficult to assume here because not all bindings with the "FT" designation are created equal in terms of hardware compatibility. Could you send me a picture at help@skimo.co of the binding so we can eliminate any potential confusion?

Question from Chris Lemon

I just bought a pair of Black Crows Atris (108mm waist), and I have a pair of Dynafit Radical FT 2.0 bindings with a 135mm brake. I noticed on your site that you brakes for the Radical 2.0 and the Radical FT...which one of these brakes i will fit my bindings?

Thanks!
Chris
9/3/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Chris! Sorry for the confusion there, but I'd go for the Radical 2.0 brakes for sure. The Radical FT is referring to the previous generation Radical binding which is very different in all kinds of ways from the Radical 2.0.

Question from Owen

An anti-friction plate on one of my 110mm Radical ST bindings no longer slides properly. Can I fix this by swapping a working friction plate in from a new brake?
7/8/2018
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Owen! That could definitely work, though is probably the most expensive way to solve the issue (unless you need parts from another brake anyways). I would keep an eye on our Dynafit Binding Parts listing because usually we are stocking those spare parts though it looks like we are out at the moment. If not there then keep an eye on our Used Dynafit Parts listing as well.
