Palau is the liner supplier for Dynafit, La Sportiva, Fischer, and other well-known boot brands. This is because the 100% closed-cell EVA foam is highly moldable and offers great thermal retention. Being European, Palau of course didn’t forget to make their liners walk really well with strategic cutouts in the ankle and tongue-designs that don’t impede skinning. The Tour Lite Pro Evo liners are medium thickness, lightweight, with an Achilles flex zone and a Velcro closure. This model makes a great replacement for stock liners found on the SCARPA F1, Sportiva Sytron/Sideral, Dynafit TLT6/7, and other high-performance ski touring boots.

  • 100% closed-cell EVA foam is very receptive to molding.
  • Tongue-design doesn’t interfere with walking like an overlap.
  • Velcro flap-system offers better calf-wrap and contact while skiing.
  • Flex-zone behind the ankle allows for unimpeded skinning and booting.
  • 8mm thick, Medium Density is light, flexible, yet reasonably warm.
  • Compatible with TLT6, 7, Fischer Travers, F1, Spitfire and similar models.

Update 2023/24: This model was replaced by Palau Tour Lite Evo MV Liners.

Question from Jeremy

I have TLT7 expedition (so CR liner that is thicker than performance) and it is old/packed and needs to be replaced. 1.5 finger shell fit. Length is good but hoping to get less volume around the foot, so hoping a new liner will take up more space. Pro evo, Power LT, Pro Tour? Also, boot size is 27, is 27 is best for replacement liners? Thanks!

Answer from Zak M

Hey Jeremy, the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo Liner in a size 27 should do just fine as a replacement.

Hey Fes, the 27 Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo Liner should work quite well with the Atomic Backland Pro Boot! Give us a shout if you have any more questions!

Question from Jasper P

Looks like these lite pro evo liners would be the most 1:1 replacement for the stock liners, and the power lt would be "one step up" in stiffness and volume (which is what I am after). Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Answer from Ian C

Hey Jasper, you are spot on! These are the ones we would probably recommend for the closest replacement to the stock liners, while the Power LT would provide increased stiffness and volume.

Question from Dustin L

I have some Scarpa F1's that need new liners. I wanted the get the Scarpa liners but I can't find them in the correct size. Would these be a good option? What is the difference between these liners and the Scarpa liners?
12/22/2021
Answer from Will McD

Hi Dustin,
These will be lower volume than the liners you are used to, particularly around the foot and upper cuff. I would recommend looking at the Intuition Pro Tour Liners. Intuition actually makes the liners for the F1 so it will be quite similar to the stock liner that comes with the boot.

Thanks. Not a lot of sizes there either. I guess I’ll wait until those or the Scarpa ones are in stock.

Question from Tony

I'm also looking for a new liner for my F1 LT. Size 29.0.
recently JMC asked about the F1 LT size 27 and Cole recommended a size 26.5 Pro Evo, so does that mean a 28.5 would be the best fit for my 29.0?
Why the drop in size?
12/20/2021
Answer from Ian C

Hi there Tony, yes the 28.5 would be the best for your F1 LT. In Scarpa's boot sizing system, the 29.0 is actually equivalent to a 28.5 so technically either one will work.

What liners would you recommend for Salomon mtn explore. Low volume feet. Want to replace liners before the heels blow out. Thanks.

Answer from Will M

Hey JB Mimbs,

I think you'd find the closest liner to be the Palau Power LT! Skis great, walks great, and has a similar volume to the stock liner.

Question from Tjaard B

I need some liners for my Quantum Free 28.5s.
I tried on the lightly used and molded, Pro Tour 28.0s from my resort boots, and they fit quit well. (Same outside length as stock liners)

I wouldn’t mind getting a bit freer skinning movement than the Pro Tour though.
I have a super skinny lower leg, so I need a liner with plenty of material around calf and shin.
Do you suggest these Palau TourLite Pro Evo’s, something else, or just getting another pair of Intuition Pro Tours?
11/29/2021
Answer from Zak M

Hey Tjaard, thanks for the inquiry. You definitely have a bit of a double edge sword going on there with needing the volume in the calf taken up and without knowing exactly how much we are talking about could be tricky. If you wanted to split the difference so to say and look at a liner in between the Tour Lite Pro Evo and the Pro Tour the  Palau Power LT could potentially be a good compromise, and overall be very similar to the Quantum Free liner.

Overall I think when it comes down to it the Pro Tour liner and the Palau Power LT are fairly similar, but the Pro Tour is definitely a bit thicker in the cuff so you'd be sort of splitting hairs with the cost benefits. Both liners are without a doubt very excellent though. Give us a shout if you have anymore questions!

Question from John Curtis

Would these work with my TLT 8 Expedition CR Boots? I did not love the liners that came with those boots. Am currently using my TLT 7 liners in them.
11/8/2021
Answer from Cole P

Hey John, these would work great in the TLT8 Expedition boot especially if you are looking to add some volume around the calf and shin. If you want less volume around the calf then the Palau Tour Lite Pro Liners will be the same thickness but less padding around the calf.

Would these work as a replacement for the liners on my Fischer Travers CS? I loved the stock liners but I packed them out pretty quickly.
10/6/2021
Answer from Tristan M

Hi Eddie,

The
Palau Tour Lite Pro Liners will be the closest fit to the stock liner on the Fischer Travers CS. At 8mm thick, the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo Liners will take up more space than the stock liner. Reach out to us at help@skimo.co if you have any further liner questions!

Question from Josh

Anyone have experience using these in a K2 Aspect snowboard boot (or any other snowboard boot)? I have a blown out pair of La Sportiva liners that I'm looking to replace. Need to take up some volume in my Aspect shells so thinking the tour lite Pro Evo would be better than the regular tour lite.
Cheers
9/11/2021
Answer from Brett S

Thanks for your question, Josh. We haven't used these with snowboarding boots, however, I would encourage you to look at the Power LT liner. It will fill a bit more space than the Tour Lite Evo, last longer, while still having a phenomenal range of motion. If you don't mind stiffening your boot and want something that will last even longer, the Intuition Pro Tour is an excellent choice. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Question from Andrew Petrie

Hello,
Just picked up a pair of la sportiva solar boots in size 29. Which intuition liner would you recommend if I am looking for a larger volume (stiffer) than stock liner? Have 1.5 fingers behind heel in shell. The solar has unbelievable range of motion huh?
7/17/2021
Answer from Zak M

Hey Andrew, thanks for the question. From the Palau liner selection i would recommend the Tour Lite Pro Evo liner for the most comparable stock liner or potentially the Palau Power LT or for something a bit beefier. Putting a liner like the
Intuition Pro Tour while would make the boot slightly stiffer would also reduce the range of motion in the boot as well. A bit of a give-and-take sort of situation. Give us a shout if you have anymore questions!

Question from Jon J

Wondering how this would compare to the Scarpa Pro Flex Evo, the Intuition Pro Tour, and the Tour Wrap in an F1 LT? And would a 28.0 in this liner be the best bet for my 28 shell? Thank you!
5/3/2021
Answer from Julieana

Hey Jon, this liner will be much more pliable and flexible than the other liners you're considering. This liner will walk well and will have a bit more cushion and density than the stock liner. The 28.0 would be the right size for a 28 F1 LT shell. The Scarpa Pro Flex Evo is designed for the F1 and is a thicker liner that will fit much more snuggly than the stock liner for the F1 LT, it might also restrict range of motion a little in walk mode. If you are looking to take up a lot of space around your foot that liner could be a good option, otherwise I would opt for the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo. I would advise against using the Intuition Pro Tour or Tour Wrap in this boot, those liners will dramatically hinder movement in walk mode and will also make the boot fit significantly snugger.

Question from Ylenia P

Hi,
I am looking for a replacement for my (very worn out) stock liners for Dynafit Hoji Pro Tour 24.5.
My liners are light and comfortable when skinning, and I like the snug feel of the heel, but the position of the J insert tends to give me blisters on the inner ankle bone especially when skiing more aggressively.
Would the Tour Lite Pro Evo be a good replacement in terms of range of motion/weigth/fit?
I am a little bit worried they would take up too much volume, as I have skinny ankle/heel but wide metatarsal and tend to have a pain-inducing/circulation-cutting fit in ski mode when wearing slightly thicker socks.

Thank you!
3/30/2021
Answer from Tristan M

Hi Ylenia,

If you are looking for the closest replacement to the stock liner, I would look at the Intuition Pro Tour Liners in the medium volume. To compare the two, neither the stock liner or the Intuition Pro Tour liner will have a ton of ROM. The medium volumes will have different foam volumes in different areas of the boot compared with the stock liner, but with an aggressive heat mold, they will be as close as you can get. However, if you would like a liner with slightly less volume compared with the stock liner, check out the Palau Power LT.

The Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo will have significantly less volume than the stock liner in the Hoji Pro Tour, and you may feel like you are swimming.

Question from patrick l

I sized up to 26/26.5 when I bought the ultimates. I have worn 25.5's in my previous atomic backland boots(non-ultimates). the 26 ultimates fit me fine and I believe a thicker liner would work fine with how the boots fit me. I'm worried the Palau Ultralight Race liners will not be warm enough for my desire. If i buy the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo's what size should I order?
3/20/2021
Answer from Cole P

Patrick, If you fit in 25.5's with the Atomic Backlands and you bought the 26/26.5 Ultimate you will want to buy either a 26 or 26.5 Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo liner.

Question from patrick

I have a pair of atomic backland ultimates size 26/26.5. I'd like to upgrade the liner to something more "plush" and warm for general touring comfort. I have settled on the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo. I have 2 questions:
1) what size liner should I order to fit my boots?
2) are there any other liners I should consider that may work better for my situation?
3/19/2021
Answer from Cole P

Hey Patrick, the Atomic Backland Ultimate boot is a shell size down for a racing fit so there is a chance that the Palau Tour Lite Pro Evo's will fit too tight unless you went up a size from your usual mondo size. The Palau Ultralight Race may be a more appropriate liner for your boot which you can find here. I would recommend the 7mm option if you do decide to go with the race liners. For sizing, I would go with the 26 if you want a tighter fit but the 26.5 will fit similarly.

Question from Fes

Hi,
will these work in Atomic Backland Pros?
And if they can't, I have a pair of 27/27.5 Backland Pros. What size would I get? The 27 or the 27.5?
3/17/2021
Answer from Cole P

Hello Fes, the Tour Lite Pro Evo liners will work great with the Backland Pros. The only other liner that I would suggest is the Palau Tour Lite Pro liner which would be a similar fit but there will be less volume around the calf. You can check it out here. I would suggest a size 27 if you want a tighter fit but the 27.5 with fit similarly.

Bought these to replace the TLT 8 carbonio stock liner—too thin. Molded pretty nice, and once I switched to green super feet from blue the boots really fit well. I get slight blisters hence the 4 stars not 5, but your mileage may very. Great replacement for the TLT SERIES.

Question from Gregg

Would this be an appropriate replacement liner for my 3 year-old Scarpa Alien RS? In general, Dynafit's wider boots fit me better (size 26.5), but I have gotten a lot of use with these size 27 Aliens (and occasional pain). My thought was to mold a new liner with extra padding to create a bit more room along the side of foot.
Thx--Gregg

Answer from Julieana

Hey Gregg, especially if the Aliens feel a bit snug for you I would suggest the Palau Ultralight Race Liners.

Question from John 8949 Z

I'm looking for a replacement liner for some gen-1 PDGs (the white and orange ones) in 28.5. Even when new, the fit was a bit baggy so I want some that are a bit stiffer and/or higher volume than stock. Would these be a good choice? If so, what size would work best in that boot?
1/6/2021
Answer from jbo

Hi John, yes these would be a pretty good upgrade for you. The 28.0 or 28.5 should work.
