It's hard to argue with stronger and lighter! ATK placed itself front and center in the eyes of the ski mountaineering crowd with a knockout ski crampon made with a robust, lightweight alloy. Designed by Batman himself, these sinister-looking crampons inspire confidence in steep terrain. Available in several widths, most ATK crampons have a deep bite. The exception is the 70mm race crampon, which is shallower and has extra cutouts to save weight. All the crampons are sold in pairs and come with a carrying pouch. They are compatible with most Dynafit-style toe pieces, but notably not Plum bindings.

Stock Note: If the size you're looking for is out of stock, check out the Trab crampons which are the same thing.

Question from Rich G

will these work with Hagen core 12 bindings? and for Mythic 97 I should go a size up?
1/30/2021
Answer from Will M

Hey Rich,

These will work well with those bindings and skis! I would stick with the 97mm crampons as they actually have a little bit of spacing on the sides to accommodate a 97mm underfoot ski.

Question from Peter

Hello,

Will these work with a Black Diamond Helio 350 binding or do I need to get the Helio specific crampons? I believe the Helio 350 uses ATK technology so I wasn’t sure which one or if either would work.

Thanks!

Hi Peter, yes these are essentially the same thing, just a different brand imprinted. You can use either.

Want to get these for my daughter. She has talkback 96 mounted with ATK RT Lightweight 2.0 bindings and a 97 brake. Will the 97 crampon work or do I need to get the orange dynafit 100 (which I assume will work with the ATK binding?)?
1/9/2020
Answer from Jeff M

Rich, these will work just fine, a nice snug fit. Wouldn't want to put anything else on that ATK binding.

In that case I should get a pair of the 108s to go with my ATK Free raider 14s too :-). Seems like these weigh less than half of the B&D crampons I’m currently using

Question from Zane Russell

I'm wanting a crampon that can clear a 98mm width. My skis are Dynastar Mythic 97's but the binding is forward of the narrowest area. Wondered if ATK were spot-on at 97 making the Dynafit 100 the logical choice? The ATK's would be great but I'm doubting they'll clear.

Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Zane, the Dynafit 100 will be the best choice!

Question from Justin

Hello!

Whats the compatibility of these with a pair of kingpins?
5/15/2019
Answer from Jeff M

Justin, With the lever on he Kinpin there is not much room for the crampon to set down. Marker has their own that has a cutout to allow for that - Marker Pintech.

Question from Becca

Would the 97's or the 108's be a better fit for a pair of BD Helio 95 skis? Concerned the 97's would be tight, and out of stock. But I want to make sure the fit is close though as I keep snapping ski crampons...
Thanks!

Answer from eric

Becca-Atk and Dynafit crampons are interchangeable. In your case I would do the Dyafit 100 instead of the ATK 108. 97 would have been perfect.

I’ve got the ski Trab bindings (ones a little over 100g) on Salomon minim ski- will the 70mm clear the skis and any issues with the binding?

Hi Martin, the 70mm will work great with that setup.

Question from Kapeluch

Will the 97mm crampons fit on salomon mtn 95 (177cm lenght)? Underfoot the skis are 95mm, however exactly under the binding's toepiece they are around 97-98 mm wide.

Answer from Jeff M

Hello, That is cutting it close, but should work. And we are out of the 97mm. We have the Black Diamond Helio in a 97mm, also Dynafit.

Hi there,

Are these compatible with the Kreutzspitze GT bindings? I would expect the 86 to fit the Zero G 85 perfectly, right?

Thanks.

Answer from Nate

Hi Brent, yes! They are compatible with your GT bindings and will fit nicely on your Zero G 85.

Question from Brent L

Hey, I like the strength to weight ratio on these and the 86 will fit my Zero G 85's perfectly. Are they going to be compatible with my Kruezspitze GT bindings with the brake swivel (or would I need to remove the brake swivel)?

Also, seems like they must make some other sizes but perhaps you are out of stock? What do they make that would fit the Zero G 108?
1/24/2019
Answer from Nate

Hi Brent, these should work with your brake swivel in place. There is a 108mm crampon available but we appear to be out of stock at this time.

I took Trace's encouragement to get these over the Dynafits. They go on surprisingly easily. Ski crampons were a game-changer to me, and the ATKs leave nothing to be desired. Highly recommended! I am using these on Movement X-Session 169 (89 waist) with Dynafit Speed Radical toes. I have the 97mm version. It's a perfect fit.

I just used these for the first time this weekend. It was wet at Shasta and the stuff I'd normally walk straight up, required traversing. Bust out the crampons and Voila! walking up straight again. They are very light and glide reasonably well. They pair great with the Hagen Core binding.

Question from Eric S

Hey guys, I just received my ATK race crampons from you, but I hadn't appreciated that the reinforcement bar would prevent them from working on my Dynafit Vertical ST bindings. I might want to send them back to you but... it occurs to me I could just cut off the excess plastic on those bindings anyway. While recognizing that you can't be held responsible if I screw that up... what do you think?
6/15/2017
Answer from Trace Leches

Hey Eric, thanks for reaching out. Ouch, that's a bummer, unfortunately you're not the first person to have this issue. The plastic molding aft of the toe piece that is preventing the crampons from sitting flat isn't crucial to the structural integrity of the binding and could totally be removed. Unofficially, we support your experiment and endeavor and it'll work just fine (if it was my binding, I'd do it). Officially though we, as a shop, can't recommend it because bindings aren't designed to be modified like that! ;) All that being said, we'd be happy to exchange them for you if you'd rather not start modifying bindings like that.

Answer from Eric S

OK, cool thanks. I will decide shortly what to do and let y'all know.
6/20/2017
Answer from Michael H

If you haven't cut it yet, you can remove the whole toe piece and remove that white switch, keeping it for later if you want to sell the rig intact, but keep the crampon.

Comment from Thomas C (hasn't used product)

The quality and weight of these both seem excellent, but unfortunately they will not work on Dynafit Comfort bindings (post-2007). The extended plastic behind the toe piece interferes with the bar across the center cutout on the crampon.

Question from Tom

Is the larger size available 97 or 91? (see 97 in dropdown, but 91 in weight chart)
3/31/2017
Answer from Nate

Hi Tom,

The 91mm crampon is no longer available, 97mm is available though. I just weighed the 97mm crampons and they weighed 77g each.
