The Pomoca Climb 2.0 formula focuses on savings of both the weight and cash varieties. Pomoca uses a short nap on its Safer Skin Light backing, making for an extremely lightweight and packable skin. They also shaved a few dollars off the price by skipping the S-Glide treatment, making this skin perfect for folks who like to step up the hill without sliding backward and who aren't concerned with much else. For folks concerned with glide, it depends on the grade of the climb whether the weight savings override the increase in friction. Everyone will appreciate having some bright yellow skins in their life, plus it never hurt to save a few bucks. Buy the Pomoca Climb 2.0 skins if you want to climb 2 the top of all the best backcountry runs with minimal cost and maximum grip.
Safer Skin Light backing formula is thin yet waterproof and tear-resistant.
Ever Dry 2.0 treatment repels water, ensuring the skin starts and finishes light.
Click Lock tip system lets you swap the metal brackets to fit different tip shapes.
Kits include a skin bag and amazingly easy-to-use edge trimmer.
Simple adjustable tail clips lock into slots on a sturdy elastic strap.
Update 2020/21: The Climb 2.0 skins now have redesigned Click Lock tip attachments and tail hooks that enhance durability. The skins have the same climbing prowess and amazing glue while coming packaged in a cool new zippered case.
I see you have the 120mm 185-200CM Pomoca Climb 2.0 in stock. I have a 186cm Black Crows Navis Freebird Ski with 139 - 102 - 120 measurements. Do you think the 120mm skin will be too narrow at the front of the ski?
Hey Sean, we generally like to size skins off of the tail dimension so the 120mm should work out fairly well. You will definitely have some base showing towards the tip but it shouldn't be too much of an issue with some good skinning technique!
Zak, thanks. I am also curious if you think the Contours would be fine too? (You are out of the Pomocas in the size I would need). Again, the issue is the quite thick tip of the ski.
Would you mind shooting us an email to help@skimo.co? That way we can discuss in more detail which skin would work best for you!

I have a pair of Dynafit Beast 108s - would either of the 120mm width be ok for this ski, or should I size up to a larger width? Its just on the margin!
I've got a pair of QST 99 skis (Salomon). Had hoped to put G3 skins on 'em but discovered the little "hands" at the top don't fit over the relatively thick ski tip.
Will these Pomoca skins work, do you think? And/or can you recommend a different model (I do like the yellow!).
Hey Eric, the Pomoca tip brackets should fit that QST no problem.

There's a note about the 2020/21 version having an updated attachment system, but it's not clear whether the skins for sale on this page are the 2020/21 version. Are they?
Hi FLM, we have a few from last season in stock, they are marked '2019/20' in the drop list.

What is different in the 20/21 skins vs the 19/20 skins? If they are the same ill get the cheaper ones, but if there is some significant improvment, I don't want to miss out to save just $8
Patrick, the ideal size would be 120mm x 175-190cm. Which is sold out. Wider than necessary, but there are still a couple left here in the 140mm width. Free Pro 2.0.

Hi, I have a pair of Volkl Nanuq skis, 170cm (131-96-114). What size of skin do you suggest? Do I need the 140 x 165-180cm?
What's the best size for a pair of Blizzard skis, size 185 (skis are my husband's; he has been dying to try skins). They appear to be 135 mm near the tip, narrowing to 110 mm near the bindings.
Hey thanks for your question, Erica! Typically, we base the needed skin width off of the tail dimension, as having full coverage on the rockered tip doesn't equate to much other than added weight. If his ski tail measured 120mm, we would recommend getting a skin that was either 120mm or just slightly wider. For the length, get a skin that has length dimensions that match the length of the ski. For example, a 175-190cm would be perfect for a 185. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions!

Hey,
I have a Atomic Vantage 97 C, 180cm and on the website of Pomoca they suggest me the climb 2.0 130mm x 175-190cm (L). Is the 120mm will be okay ?
Great question! We base our skin width off of the tail width since that has more contact and than the tip, so 123mm is the move!

For blizzard zeroG 95s, 178 cm length, the choice seems to be a fair bit of tail base exposed under the strap with the 165 - 180 size; or most of the tail base covered with skin with the 175 - 190 size. What do you recommend of these two options.
Hi Alec, you explained it well. Coverage down to the end of the tail isn't critical as most grip comes from under and just behind your feet. I think less is more when it comes to skins, as less material means more glide and more packability. I'd go short. Note we also have the precut skins for that ski if you want to use the custom tip attachment (2019/20 and later skis only) with similar material from Pomoca.

Which length would you recommend for a set of DPS Wailer 112. Length 178. Think I could get away with the 165-180? The price is nice.
The best option for full edge to edge coverage will be the 140mm wide skins. They have tip loops and fixed tail clips so go for the size that corresponds with the length of your skis (ex. if your skis are 185cm, go with the 140mm 175mm-190mm option). Not to make this too complicated, but there is also the option to go with the 120mm wide skins, which will help increase glide by leaving some base exposed near the tip of the ski. If the goal is maximum climbing ability, go with the 140mm, if a bit more glide appeals to you, go with the 120mm. Have fun out there!

Hi guys and gals,
The glue on these skins only lasted a few months for my husband. Any recommendations on re-glue options? Thanks!
Hi Ilana, that's strange, the Pomoca glue only seems to have issues if exposed to high temps or excess ultraviolet light. I can see you ordered the Tipon skins, is that the flavor we're talking about? Those don't use glue.
Hi! No problem with tipon, I absolutely love those. These are the climb 2.0. Never had them long enough to expose to high temps or UV. They failed on the second day out. Now just trying to salvage them with a re-glue.
I think I have the rebrand from Faction. The glue is already degraded and sticking to my bases. Is the S glide pro the next lightest. More importantly is the glue the same? I’ve never had a glue problem w pomoca. Seems like some of their recent skins have a different hybrid glue. Whatcha gat for me! Thanks guys Teague
Hi Teague! The Pomoca branded skins use a special North American glue formula. Most re-brands (esp. euro ski companies) do not. As always, avoid excess heat and sunlight on the glue!
