We’re not sure but we think the “S” stands for “Super”. The new Pomoca Super treatment on the old reliable Climb Pro Glide skins makes them even better at sliding. The friction coefficient is now more akin to racing formulas than to similar mohair-mix skins. Good sliding technique will be rewarded with up to 20% energy savings on an average climb, a figure extrapolated from recent lab tests. The Climb Pro S-Glides are 70% mohair, 30% nylon, and 100% fast. The skins feature the manageable Pomoca glue formula and easy-to-use tip brackets and tail clips. These are likely the default skin choice for interested ski tourers.
Safer Skin Light membrane is waterproof, tear-resistant, and tends to hold its hairs in place.
Ever Dry 2.0 is a water-shedding treatment that prevents potentially heavy water soakage.
S-Glide concoction is applied at the end to give you a lifelong friction-reducing stride.
ClickLock is a tip system that allows you to swap square brackets to match your ski tips.
Adjustable tail clips ride up and down a thick stretchy strap that is notched for a good hold.
Kits come with a trimmer that is much easier to use than the letter-opener style skin trimmers.
Includes a skin bag for carrying your climbers and for long-term storage across seasons.
Skins come with tips attached (except Universal length), otherwise known as "Back Fix" in Pomoca-speak.
Universal Kits - 185cm of material with tails attached; cut to ski length and attach the 85mm or 95mm wide tip buckles (both included) before trimming.
No Tips - A Universal Kit without the tip hardware...attach race bungees or your favorite touring tips.
Update 2020/21: The S-Glide skins are now made with thinner backing material and they have redesigned Click Lock tip attachments and tail hooks that enhance durability. The skins are about 40g lighter out of the box with the same grip and amazing glide. They now come in a zippered hard case.
Update 2024/25: Pomoca is phasing these out in favor of new tip and tail hardware on the new Tour Pro skins.
Hi Dani, The Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide skins are a nice and grippy skin, so you don't necessarily need wall to wall coverage in the tail for them to perform well on the skin track, especially if you have some tail rocker in your ski, which the Salomon QST Lux does. If you have both the 110mm and the 100mm available to you and you'd prefer to have wall to wall coverage to ensure no slip outs on the skin track you're definitely not losing anything by going with the 110 mm, but the 100mm should also be just fine, and might give you a little more glide as well.

Good morning - I just purchased the 2020 Blizzard Zero G 95s and want to get these skins. Which ones do you suggest? Thank you!
Hey Eric, It depends on how much grip you're looking for. The tail of that ski is 111.5 so if you wanted wall to wall coverage I'd go for the 120mm width. These skins are pretty grippy, so if you're wanting a little more glide you can definitely get away with using the 100mm width.

Hi, I have the Black Crows Navis Freebird (139 x 102 x 119) in 185cm length. Can I get away with the 120mm width skin? Also, do I need the L or the XL (length)? Thanks, site rocks!
The 120mm width will give you great coverage to maximize both grip and glide. The XL, or 175-190cm length is the right choice for your skis. Enjoy the climb!
Finally got a pair of these and realized what I've been missing. Boy these are legit. They're textured on the glue side, which makes them somehow quite easy to separate from themselves. Also despite having the 120mm waist for some fat skis, they fold in half with the rando skin-fold technique easily. Usually on wider skins that technique is harder for me anyway. The grip is superb, at least when new. I didn't find them terribly glidey but for me that's rarely my principle concern. The skin cutter was easy, the tail clips seem to pretty much stay at the "notch" you set them at, the tips don't wiggle side-to-side like the Contours. They pack down well and fit easily in my jacket. They're a bit spendy, but so far anyway I'm a big fan.

I just bought the Kastle TX 90 Alpine touring ski. Sidecut: 122/90/111 What size in the Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide Skins should l buy?
Graeme, the 120mm width will give you Full coverage. The 100 would also work, leaving a bit uncovered at just the widest points of the ski. That would give you a bit less gliding resistance.

Hi what size would best fit DPS Nina 99T (125/99/111)? Thanks!
Mark, the 120mm is just the right width. For length, I would go with the 175-190cm.

As a guide and avalanche educator the last thing I need to be thinking about in the backcountry is my equipment. There are enough variables in a day of backcountry skiing as it is. These skins have made my job easier and safer. Out of the box these are the best uphill skins I've owned. I am used to having to adjust my skinning technique to new skins, but that wasn't an issue with these. The glue is also far superior to previous skins I've owned. Set-up was low stress (best skin cutter ever!). I highly recommend the Pro-S Glide to anyone from those just getting into backcountry skiing all the way to crusty professionals. These do the job.

Maybe a weird question... Has anyone noticed their version of these skins (or any skins for that matter) having a propensity to glide to one side? I've got a pair and multiple users now have noted that they pull to the left as you glide forward or slide down hill. Maybe a slight QC issue and the "nap" and longitudinal cut aren't parallel?
Hey Jed, we haven't seen this problem with the Climb Pro S-Glides, but it's not an unknown issue with skins to have that kind of sideways "kick" due to misaligned skin plush. Skin manufacturers are often able to offer a warranty in these cases.

Need skins for 188 Voile Hyper V6's. Thinking Pomoca Climb Pro S Glide in 120 would best for me but looking for recommendations. Concerned 100mm is a bit narrow for some of the steeper tracks I too often find myself in. Any thoughts you can share?
Hey Patrick, I'd agree that the 120mm width would be a great choice!

My length of my skis are right at the borderline between small and medium. They are 167cm long, 135/100/120. Would the small in the 120mm be okay? What is your suggestion?
Hey Amy, you should be all set with the size small (they adjust up to 170cm skis).

Hey guys. I have a pair of V8s that I use to ski big days and was looking at upgrading to either Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide or Voile Hyper Glide Skins. I have the Pomocas on a pair of Objectives and really like them. I was curious about how they both compare. Thanks!
Ryan, the Voile skin is the Pro S Glide skin but in a slower Green color and Voiles special tip. You may want to check out Pomoca's new skin for Big skis. The Free Pro is lighter and more compact which saves a lot for big skis.
