We’re not sure but we think the “S” stands for “Super”. The new Pomoca Super treatment on the old reliable Climb Pro Glide skins makes them even better at sliding. The friction coefficient is now more akin to racing formulas than to similar mohair-mix skins. Good sliding technique will be rewarded with up to 20% energy savings on an average climb, a figure extrapolated from recent lab tests. The Climb Pro S-Glides are 70% mohair, 30% nylon, and 100% fast. The skins feature the manageable Pomoca glue formula and easy-to-use tip brackets and tail clips. These are likely the default skin choice for interested ski tourers.
Safer Skin Light membrane is waterproof, tear-resistant, and tends to hold its hairs in place.
Ever Dry 2.0 is a water-shedding treatment that prevents potentially heavy water soakage.
S-Glide concoction is applied at the end to give you a lifelong friction-reducing stride.
ClickLock is a tip system that allows you to swap square brackets to match your ski tips.
Adjustable tail clips ride up and down a thick stretchy strap that is notched for a good hold.
Kits come with a trimmer that is much easier to use than the letter-opener style skin trimmers.
Includes a skin bag for carrying your climbers and for long-term storage across seasons.
Skins come with tips attached (except Universal length), otherwise known as "Back Fix" in Pomoca-speak.
Universal Kits - 185cm of material with tails attached; cut to ski length and attach the 85mm or 95mm wide tip buckles (both included) before trimming.
No Tips - A Universal Kit without the tip hardware...attach race bungees or your favorite touring tips.
Update 2020/21: The S-Glide skins are now made with thinner backing material and they have redesigned Click Lock tip attachments and tail hooks that enhance durability. The skins are about 40g lighter out of the box with the same grip and amazing glide. They now come in a zippered hard case.
Update 2024/25: Pomoca is phasing these out in favor of new tip and tail hardware on the renamed Tour Pro skins.
Thanks for your question, Nick. I would go with the 120x175-190. If you wanted the same skin that is already precut for your ski, you can check out the DPS Precut skins here. The DPS skins are in stock and ready to ship! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I did a dry fit of the Large (175-190) on a 189cm ski and I am at max adjustment length on the tail with little or nothing to grab (can't imagine this being easy with mittens on) Is this how the tail is supposed to be with a 189ski for a Large Pomoca? Also, this ski does not have a flat section for the clip and it does not grab well. I live in SLC and can bring this by, wondering if maybe this is a medium? or something is wrong?
Hey Evan, it does seem like you are at the latter end of the adjustment range for the large skin size. For future reference, it is usually a bit nicer to be in the middle of the adjustment range so in that case, the XL size would have been more ideal. Unfortunately, not all ski tails like to play nice with certain skin attachment systems but with proper tightening of the skin, it should stay on the tail bar reasonably well.

Skins I've used in the past are usable at the ranges they specify (G3 and Atomic) I guess it was foolish to think the ski lengths they recommend result in good configurations? Seems a bit backward. Is there a good way to lengthen the strap? I purchased this from SkiMo, and haven't cut them, any logic to waiting for XL to come in stock and swapping?
Hi Evan, a good way to tweak the tail length is to swap the tip buckles. A wider buckle will let the skin sit further back on the ski, extending its reach. This is why Pomoca includes two sizes in some of their kits, and you can also buy them separately. Note Contour has some even wider ones (115mm) for oversize planks.

Hi! I would like to buy this skin in order to use them on icy and steep terrain, but mainly on icy spring conditions. Are they the right chiose? I have 2 pair of race skis and I know it could seem strange but I want use this skin with my race ski since race skins are not so good when it's icy. Is it possible to fit the skins on the following ski? Atomic Backland UL 65 - 161 CM 93/65/78.5 Dynafit PDG - 161 CM 99/65/88
As a mohair-mix skin, the Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide will definitely be a step up in grip from a race skin. However, the trim to fit version does not come with a tip and tail attachment system that makes sense for a race ski. I would recommend doing a custom build using Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide Per CM, and Pomoca Top Fix Race Tips as an attachment. If you have any further questions, reach out to us at help@skimo.co

I love the carpet and glue on these skins. They pack down small, are light, have fantastic glide, and the glue is great.
I do not like the attachment points. Without fail my partner and I will always deal with at least one, usually multiple, moments where the tail clip comes off on the skin track. Not the end of the world, but get annoying. I also don't enjoy how the tip attachment isn't fixed and slides side-to-side. Maybe there's a reason for this? I haven't figured it out and it just adds times having to adjust the attachment to be centered.
In the end, the attachment point issues don't detract enough to make these skins lose their place at the top of the podium among the competition. Just some things I think could be improved
Hi Jack, thanks for the feedback! Do you have twin tip skis by any chance? In that case, you can get (when in stock) the Twin Tip tail hooks to improve hold. The stock tail clip works best with flatter tails.
I purchased these skins this season with the help and expertise of Jeff at Skimoco. They have worked just fine for me so far. They have good grip and glide, also the ice blue color is awesome! The tail clip isn't my favorite but that might be because I was so used to my old G3 skins. I realized that I needed to tighten the skins after getting them on my skis...which solved my frustration.
I have about 75 days on these skins now. They grip well, have good glide, and seem to be durable as well. The waterproof treatment seems to be holding up as well.

Wanted to like them. But...tail clips are junk. And the stitching came out on both tail pieces so got those resewn. The plastic holding the metal tip bale broke on both, so bye bye bales, hello duct tape. Climb is mediocre, glue the same. Glide is really the only good thing. All in all, blech
Hi Paul, couldn't find an order from you, otherwise we'd be happy to send you a pair from this season with the new tips and tails. It sounds like you might be putting them on under lots of tension? That can cause tips, tails, material, and glue to fail.
Pomoca skins are amazing and these are my favorite. I converted from BD skins to Pomoca a few years ago and haven’t looked back once. The glide is just too good and the glue has held up super well. They also seems to dry really fast. My only complaint is there sizing is hard to figure out medium, small, large? What does it mean?
Thanks for the feedback, Travis! Agreed on the sizing, that's why we list them in the drop down with centimeter length ranges instead of the rather meaningless S/M/L.
I went from Dynafit mohair mix to bd nylon and to these.
By far the best of the bunch. The glue is in all the right spots to rip off with ease. BD skins are crap. I love how well they fold in my jacket. Was a bit torn between these and the race 2.0s and glad I went with these. All the bells and whistles in terms of treatment on these.
They grip really well still. Better than my buddies with nylons at times. The glide is wayy better. Highly recommend them even with the steep tracks we get in the Wasatch.
Hey :) I've read through most of the "length-related" comments, but just wanted to be sure: Will the M size (165-180cm) skin fit onto my Kästle TX98 178cm (128/98/117)? and which width would you recommend? At the moment I'm using a Colltex Palü that has been mounted by a ski shop here in switzerland and they used a 170cm skin, so I only got around 2-3cm of "strap" (photo) to tighten the end hook, thats why I'm thinking about getting a new skin. Since I normally use my light race skis I'm a bit more on the uphill side and sliding characteristics are somewhat important to me ;-). And since the pomoca allows to put glue side on glue side, this seems another plus to me. Do you have further experience how these two skins compare?
Thanks for your question, Manuel! The medium size will definitely work. We typically base the width of skin off your tail dimension, as such we would recommend the 120 width! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi,
What width and length Pomoca skin would be the best fit for a 168 cm Stockli Edge 100. Dimensions are 136-100-125.
Based on the tail width and length of your ski, I would recommend the Pomoca Climb Pro S-Glide in the 120mm x 165cm-180cm size. However, we do not currently have that size in stock. Reach out to us at help@skimo.co, and we would be happy to chat other options!

I've got a pair of 181cm black crows Ferox Freebirds and a set of these skins in size 120mm-M. Any chance they'll work together, or nah?
Hey Bobby, if you currently have both the skis and the skins, why don't you line them up with the skin protector on to see if they work? I'd say those Freebirds are right at the edge of the adjustment range in the medium length. Without actually looking at them on the ski I can't say for sure if they'll work or not, but I'm tentatively hopeful they could just barely fit.
I was hoping for slightly better glide but compared to a skin like the BD Acension skins these do glide easier and seem to climb just about anything. They also pack much smaller and the tip/tail connecter seems super easy to set. I may give the pink ones a try but these are definitely the way to go if you're looking for a super versatile do everything skin.

Question from
Scott Richards
Is it possible to change the tip of these skins so they fit a notched tip?
Hey Scott, yes it is possible. With the new Pomoca skins you can actually just pop out a section of the plastic tip and put in one of the hard rubber Dynafit tips that should suffice.

Will you get more of the 140 width 175-190cm length skins in any time soon?
Hi Michael, thanks for the feedback! I agree the Pomoca skins are the bees knees. That size would be a touch long, but as luck would have it, the Blizzard Precut skins are made by Pomoca so they are also great!

Matt (used product a few times)
I've used these skins only three times this winter and already I can say that they have great glide, climb OK, the glue sucks and the plastic tail clip is a joke. If this is any indication of Pomocoa brand quality I won't buy again.

Question from
Jacqui
I've got a pair of Moment Pikas that are 139 / 112 / 130cm and 170 cm long, what size skins should I get to make sure the metal piece fits the tips?
Hey Mike, ideally you would need the 140mm x 185-200cm or the 175-190cm but it looks like we are currently out of stock in them. The tip connector should be wide enough for the 107's as well.
