Hi Peter, the Radical ST is exactly the heel piece you'll want to order.

Thanks for the reply! Will you be getting any of the FTs in the future? I am looking for the higher din.

Answer from Julieana

Hey Greg,
Unfortunately as this is an older model binding we can't order more. Sometimes people turn in used bindings to us for credit, so there is always a chance we'll have some come back in stock here or on the Used Dynafit Parts page if that happens, but that's not something we can plan on.

Question from Greg

Do you carry the radical ft (12) heal? I see it in the write up but not on the list.
11/30/2021
Answer from Julieana

Hey Greg,
Unfortunately we don't have the FT heel in stock, hence why you can't find it in the drop-down menu. However, the Radical ST option could work for you, as the only difference in the heel piece is the release value.

Question from Darren

Hello - I blew out an expansion wedge on my radical ST 2 binding (purchased Mar 2017) last season. Do you have any parts / advice to help me solve my problem? I was in the backcountry and thankfully was able to jam it back in at the hut and epoxy fill the gap...held well enough to get back to the car, but I don't trust it long-term. Thx!

Answer from Brett S

Thanks for reaching out, Darren. To be safe, I would suggest getting a new heel turret. We unfortunately are out of stock at the moment, however, I would suggest submitting a warranty with Dynafit! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Question from liming z

Is any possibility to have the Dynafit super lite 150 heel piece alone available in the future? And also the black diamond helio 200 LT heel piece alone availability by any chance ? Cause I am trying to use the different heel adjustment plate offered from Kreuzspitze which shared the same mounting pattern but can work with different heel piece as well. Thanks in advance!
10/1/2021
Answer from Will McD

Hi Liming,
Unfortunately, we will not have individual Superlite 150 or BD Helio 200 LT heels available. We do have the Superlite Z10/Z12 heels available which would be the closest adjustable-release race-like heel that is compatible with the Kreuzspitze KSL2 adjustment plate. Feel free to send us an email at help@skimo.co if you have more questions about your setup that you'd like to go over.

Question from Trish

Shoot, do you have a good recommendation close to the speedfit (doesn't have to be Dynafit) that would work with the Hagan RO1 adjustment plate? I'm specifically looking to switch from the Expedition because it does not have a flat mode and only has one riser and I do a lot of tours with long flat approaches and the lack of a flat mode kills my feet.

Hey Trish, thanks for reaching out! If you fill out our online Binding Finder form, that’ll give us a few last details to find the perfect binding for you! Also, what boots will you be using with these new bindings?

Question from Patricia

I have the hagan RO1 adjustment plates on my skis with the Dynafit expedition heel piece. I want to switch to the dynafit super lite heel piece and was wondering if it will fit this plate as well before I order it?
9/29/2021
Answer from Will McD

Hi Patricia, unfortunately, the superlite heel has its own unique hole pattern and will not fit on the R01 plate. For that, you will need the Superlite Adjustment Plate, which you can find here.

Comment from Horia

Hi there.

I am raising an issue regarding the heel part of the Dynafit Radical ST. 2.0.

I have purchased in the last four years four different sets of this type of bindings. With all of them I noticed a relatively small play in the heel pins. You can also feel this play when having the boots and skis on, locked on ski-mode, and tilting backwards-forwards. You can also notice this play when pushing-pulling the pins with your bare fingers.

I have recorded a short video of this play (can't upload it here, unfortunately, and you can't really see the play in a photo) and sent it both to a local Dynafit retailer and service shop, and to Dynafit's main office. The local shop said this is not normal, and I should pay them a visit to have a look at the binding(s). Something I wasn't able to do yet. Dynafit, on the other hand, offered to send me spare heel parts. Judging by their swift replay and offer of replacent, I presumed the issue I raised was something they've seen before. Yestarday the parcel from Dynafit arrived at my door, I opened the sealed plastic bags, finding inside brand new Dynafit Rotation 10 heel parts. I guess this is because the Dynafit Radical ST 2.0 are discontinued, and the heel parts are identical to the Rotation 10 version.

But here comes the interesting part: the newly received heel parts have the same play in the pins!

Recently I have had the chance to test, randomly, two other sets of Radical ST 2.0 bindings, both with obvious sizable milage under their belt. And yes, both of them had significant play in the heel pins.

Also recently I had the chance to test a newest generation Dynafit Radical ST heel unit, and there is zero play in the heel pins. Even though, as far as I can tell, the pins part of the heel unit is very similar - if not identical - in the new Radical ST, compared to the old Radical ST 2.0 or the current Rotation 10.

So, I am a little perplexed. Is this play in the heel pins something normal? Anyone else noticing it? Should I worry about it?

best,

Question from Bret Halverson

Hello, I think have the Dynafit ST Radical bindings. I purchased them in 2014, and I don't fully remember but they say ST on the side. Can you tell from the picture if these are the ST Radicals? Unfortunately, as you can also see the heal stem is bent sideways. Can I replace this with an ST radical heal piece? If yes, do I also need to purchase screws?

Answer from Tristan M

Hi Bret,

Would you be able to send a few more photos from different angles to help@skimo.co? This will give us a better idea of the true extent of the damage, and we can work towards a solution from there!

Question from Reece

Hello - I broke the heel turret on a Radical FT binding. I did not see any available Radical FT parts for the heel turret.

Do you have any in stock, or will another piece (like the ST) also work as a replacement.

Thanks!
1/22/2021
Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Reece, thanks for reaching out! The Radical ST heel should work just fine for you depending on what release value you use. The FT goes up to 12 and the ST goes up to 10.

Question from Ben

I recently bought some used Radical FTs. Upon further investigation, they appear to be the v1.0, and the top plate sheared off one heel piece.

I'm not a crazy intense tourer, but I have done a fair bit of downhill. I'm also 100kg.

What replacement heel piece do you recommend? I don't see FT available currently, would the newer ST version hold up for moderate use? (Ex: I keep my din around 7 or 8).

Hey Ben, send us a few photos to "help@skimo.co", and we'll see what would be the best replacement for you!

I have a broken Vertical ST heel piece, the shelf the boot rests on in walk mode has snapped off. What would be the most comparable heel to replace this binding with?
12/24/2020
Answer from Will M

Hey Kai,

I'd say the best, most comparable option would be the Radical ST! Thanks for the question!
12/24/2020
Answer from jbo

Hi Kai, that shelf is actually to hold a brake down. We do have a used Vertical FT turret which would work.

Question from Matt

Hello, I have a pair of radical FT's and the heal piece broke off. Does the ST heal plate work for this?
12/23/2020
Answer from Will McD

If you're looking to replace the roof of the FT heel then yes, as long as you have all the springs and other guts, the ST roof will indeed fit. However, looking at your photo, it is very possible that the screws holding on the roof broke inside of the plastic in the housing, in which case the heel is bunk and you'd need to replace the heel piece.

Question from Ben

Hi, I have an older binding and the plastic tab that holds the brakes out of the way broke off. I am thinking I can replace the whole heel piece but am not totally sure what the best bet is. Any advice much appreciated!
10/31/2020
Answer from Teddy Young

Hey Ben, this looks like the Dynafit Radical FT! You can purchase just a single heel turret from this listing and replace the broken one while using the existing brake/baseplate. You just need to remember the release value, unscrew the large silver cap completely, remove the springs and plastic thimble bushing, and pull up on the heel housing to remove!

Question from Aaron F

Are the Dynafit PDG heels compatible with the Dynafit Speedfit toe piece?
3/8/2020
Answer from TSB

Hey Aaron, the PDG heel/Speedfit toe combo would give you a -2.5mm ramp angle, which would be a little too far back on the heels for most folks. Consider running an LTR 2.0/PDG heel adjustment plate, which would add 5mm of thickness under the heel and give you a +2.5 mm ramp angle.

Question from Alain Côté

I Have a pair of Radical ST bindings dating from some time between 2011/2012 and 2015. The heel piece top plate is lifting off on of them, so I need to replace the entire heel turret, says Dynafit. I don't see it in your list of heel pieces. Is it possible to get this?

Thanks

Answer from Teddy Young

Hello Alain, thanks for reaching out! We've ordered more Radical ST heels, and they should be arriving in a few weeks. Sent us an email at help@skimo.co and we can set up an inventory notification for you!
